This man is beyond pathetic. He somehow managed to pack about 7 or 8 excuses into one press conference. A sore loser who takes zero accountability for his team falling short year after year. Also, him calling Masera “the best player in the country” is genuinely laughable. She routinely implodes in big games, and this one was no exception. She had more turnovers than points, shot a lowly 40%, and was part of the draw unit that got absolutely smoked.

Mr. Spallina is far, far from a sore loser.................................... the information he clued us all into at the end of the presser is a major, major insight into how Syracuse and the NCAA gave the Stony Brook players very little respect. the Stony Brook team from top to bottom is overflowing with talent, talent, talented women athletes. they should never have had their socks touching a muddy pre game area.

@@steven1822 Funny how he made no mention of the tent situation when his team got the locker room and Niagara had to use the tent in the previous round. If he cared so much about the issue you’d think he’d acknowledge it at that point, but it was only after his team lost that he decided to throw a fit. This was also far from the only excuse he made in this conference. He disgustingly insinuated that the Syracuse draw taker was using an illegal stick, despite zero evidence, simply because his team got absolutely embarrassed on the draw circle. He also cried about his team’s place in the bracket, like he does year, and used that as the reason why they haven’t advanced farther in the tournament. Zero accountability from him on his team’s disappointing performances, he simply just blames the selection committee. A true loser’s mentality if I’ve ever seen one. If this team and these players are as amazing as you and Spallina claim them to be, then maybe they shouldn’t fall apart in the early stages of the tournament every single year…..
