After paparazzi pictures of the Princess of Wales emerged on a US website this week, and more vile conspiracy theories hit social media, Kensington Palace was under greater pressure this week to reveal more about Catherine’s health. This argues Daily Mail Diary Editor Richard Eden amounts to ‘bullying’ that needs to stop.
Our panel also discuss whether the row between Kensington Palace and the Ministry of Defence over the princess’s appearance at Trooping the Colour in June was indeed a ‘conspiracy’.

Richard: 'just let her recover'. The voice of reason. I have yet to understand what makes anyone feel entitled to details about a private medical matter from someone who is not the current monarch. Idle curiousity is not enough. Does my day-to-day rest on what Catherine's medical status is? I resent the 'gone several months' when in actuality, it's gone several WEEKS, not several months to me. Many medical leaves are 12-16 weeks. Nothing at all unusual so intrusion should end so she can recover in peace.

Prince Edward was born the same year as three other royal cousins: Lady Sarah Chatto, Lady Helen Taylor and James Ogilvy. Queen Elizabeth threw them a joint 18th birthday ball back in 1982 and the four of them posed for a well known portrait that night. It would be lovely to see them join for a group birthday moment again this year as they all turn sixty.

When the late Queen awarded them titles they used the prominent one as a surname which was Cambridge. Then once Charles became King Prince William became the prince of Wales so now The Prince & Princess of Wales so now Catherine is addressed as Catherine Wales. Try addressing our royals correctly. I believe POW was called Kate all the way through college - I heard her mom referring to her daughter as Kate, so perhaps it is now a nickname. I am much hoping to see Beatrice more.She and Edo have exhibited loyalty and maturity. Princess Beatrice is a Counsellor of State. Her stepson Wolfie is reportedly friends with little Prince Louis. She sponsors charities and works quietly behind the scenes.

@@cavarrilewis4802Probably the Duke of Kent having been involved with the Lifeboat Association for decades most likely still wishes to be involved. Just because with age his mobility is affected does not mean his interest and dedication is lessened.

The thing with Megs is that she isn’t thinking, feisty or otherwise. She has no new thoughts and seems to cling to the dialogue from years past. She adds nothing new to the discussion and nothing of substance. So however someone (she) is trying to market her(self) as influential …she can’t lay her hat (or crown, as she wishes) on the previous work of others already successfully done and accomplished. She is quite unimpressive.
