(한국어 버전 ➫ • 다운블로우+클럽스피드+몸통회전 싹 잡는 ... ) In the previous iron practice, I used a lag drill to get my body moving. Many wondered the reason behind this, so I wanted to talk about what lag is in general. I'll explain lag in-depth and share why I used a lag drill for weight shift. If you can lag nicely, you will gain more power with less effort and hit the ball closer to the hole than ever.

Thank you so much for this video. I got into some bad habits (casting, fat shots, thin shots, open face, etc.) and needed to do a reset. I watched this video and the first ball I hit I made solid contact and had way more impact on the ball with the club. This video helped restore my swing. Thank you for the great instructions.

nice lesson, casting was my issue, thank you. I'm working on the speed this winter, try to get the ball speed consistently above 130 (club head speed 90) with the driver, I learned if the launch angle is 21, it can get to 220 carry, 248 total. But I was casting, either launch/ball speed, 16/131 or 21/124 - I try to swing 100 drives everyday, so far i was NOT able to reach 21/131 together, and the % of swing that's above 120 ball speed were 15%, 16%, 50%, 16% the past four days. I thought I was onto something with a 50%, then got a 16% yesterday, let's see what I could do today after watching all your lessons

Greg Norman had a similar device for LAG years ago called … “Greg Norman’s Secret” (I still have it) 👍🏻 It is basically the same as your training aid, but it was longer; laid against the back of the hand and had a finger strap on your index finger (to hold your lag through impact). I don’t know why they took it off the market. 🤷🏼‍♂️ It was great!

Ive focused on lagging for a few months now. I was "sometimes" extending early and hitting behind the ball. My current problem is face angle at impact. My distance is ok, my misses with irons is left or right. I think it might be ball position..

Aimee, Do you hold WRISTS in same position as you demo'd when playing a round on golf course? OR is this just DRILL? Thank you.

i watched your video on "why you slice" and i'm alittle confused cause you were focusing on the post impact point in pointing your index finger. Now i watch this and your holding your wrist back at contact which seems like it would play into my slice. Just seems like it's kinda contradicting. If you or someone could clear this up for me i'd appreciate it!

Aimee, i worked your concepts at the range today and my contact felt sooo much better! I was missing alot to the left and felt reallyyy over the top. Would that be more not setting the club, or no clearing my body?

Hi - Is your core loose or engaged in the backswing? Loose feels like I can turn further. Engaged feels like a reduced turn but maybe leads to a faster turn?
@GolfWithAimee
@GolfWithAimee Жыл бұрын
Thank you! 😁👍 Your core should be nice n engaged in order to coil well. If you keep the core loose, it's easy to lose your set up angles and possibly reverse pivot. If you coil well, you will most likely feel that your backswing isn't big enough. But this good coil will produce more speed, therefore more power. And allow you to use the body nicely rather than using arm strength to hit the ball. I hope this helps! Thanks:)

Do you touch your thumb and index finger on the right hand at the top of the swing? I think I keep mine under like a “trigger”

I found lag is a very confusing word. It reminds me of distance. Instead lag angle is much better. At release time, the lag angle turns to zero.

The strike sounded awesome. its funny how focussing on that one thing and not thinking about backswing, hand position, hip turn, shoulder turn. Just impact really sharpens the swing up. I have been doing the stop drill and my compression is totally different. Its amazing how easy you can swing and get the same distance even from a half swing if your strike is pure. another great Video Aimee.
