I love the info I pick up here, (though I know I'm not your target audience) but I have a question, more geared towards women's professional looks and what could be considered casual or professional while wearing a suit. Do the same rules still apply to women as far as professional and casual goes? Is it good or bad for women to wear suits compared to a dress?

I bought a summer suit from Brooks Brothers in mid-blue a few years ago and did not appreciate its quality or usefulness in summer (June/July/Aug in NYC) until recently. Summer weight wool is even more comfortable than cotton in summer, and linen is too casual for my work. As Antonio points out a lightweight breathable fabric shirt, underwear, and open knot summer socks all contribute. Great video RMRS.

1) Have NO hot drinks 2) Before you step out of the shower, cool down the water temperature gradually. Spend as much time as you can in the coolest water you can. It will keep you cool. 3) Avoid Hot drinks - say it twice its that important:)

This reminds me of my time in the Corps. We would spray scotch guard in the inside of our shirts and in the hot sun we could feel the sweat run down our body but no sweat on the outside of the shirt. Lighter colors more suitable for summer don't look good on me; so I got an olive green denim jacket. It fits me extremely well. But I'm not sure if that's a good color for a jean jacket. I wander into an air conditioned space every now and again. Wear a suit early in the morning before the day heats up. Drink hot tea - it cools you down by causing a 'pleasant' sweat. Splash cold water on your face. Wet your hair in the shower before going out, comb and let the sun dry it out. Wear sunglasses to ease glare and look in control. Carry essentials. Use a document holder to carry your mobile phone. Shirt collars suffer the most when a neck tie is worn in warm weather. Therefore wash your neck area well beforehand. Wear a less formal but lighter satin neck tie.

I have to let you know about a great product that gave me such relief after years of worrying about rings under the armpits, as I have had Hyperdydrosis all of my life. The product is called Drysol, and you apply it nightly, until the sweating just goes away. It solved years of agony, I still sweat, but it is nowhere as noticeable as under the arms.
@jancarloloza37935 жыл бұрын
Jonathan Smith i have tried it, and it really works, it stopped my sweat from armpits. However, i stopped using it, because i do not know what kind of negative effects could not sweating cause.
@jonathansmith92355 жыл бұрын
@@jancarloloza3793 Hi, Jancarlo. Don't worry. Drysol is perfectly fine to use, just not all over your body. But, the armpits are the most noticeable, so it was a saviour for me, as I am in the entertainment industry, and am always wearing a sport coat. The rest of your body will compensate for your armpits and produce enough [perspiration to keep you cooled. Your feet actually produce the most sweat. Now the top of my head and brow have also always produced a lot of moisture, and I occasionally even apply Drysol there, with no adverse or side effects. Having a compact portable fan can be effective in some circumstances for that, and can provide a person with a little more security. The question always is, "What comes firs, panic or sweat? When you panic, you sweat. And, when you sweat, you panic" I have also found having small doses of Theanine to help with panic/anxiety and sweating.Having those kinds of afflictions can sometimes be very debilitating. I have found, over the years, that everyone has some kind of burden, whether physical, emotional, or mental. Just look at President Donald Gump.(lol!)
