I'm a bit younger, but what I have found unusual about Bursitis, is you cant "stretch your way out of it", when those little fluid sacks are inflamed, any stretching of the area will ratchet that 5/10 pain right up to MAX.. and send you backwards.. so dont just jump into the stretches in the video. I learnt this the hard way with my well-intentioned light stretching... before the penny dropped that each pain ramp up was my own fault.... definitely rest first.. avoid hills and stairs.. then go easy on yourself to rebuild.

So grateful for this video. JUST realized this is my problem after a fall two months ago! I fell on my bike from a standing, not riding, position, and felt I had bruised something at the time, but I didn’t see any bruises. A few weeks later, I had occasion to walk up a flight of stairs, and any step with my right foot was extremely painful. I assumed it was a hamstring problem. two weeks later, I was on a 3 Hour road trip when I realized I had severe pain on that sitz bone. My googling finally led me to this video and I’m extremely grateful for it! I finally believe I will be able to participate in yoga when it resumes next week and have a better idea about what to do in my tai chi classes because I’ve been aggravating it in those classe classes. At 72 I don’t want anything to slow me down now!

I've had right hip bursitis for about 5 yrs. I've used a cain on occasion. What has really helped is regular stretching, along with specific exercises, recommended by Bob and Brad, and using recumbent stationery bike. Hot baths help and do ice packs. You also must have good footwear with sufficient arch support. Crocs are great. I'm much much better in that the pain is much much less. I no longer have pain when climbing stairs. Walking does aggravate my hip but not as much. I'm just doing so much better. Thanks Bob and Brad.

Oh wow 😳 I would love some tips bc I don't know if I can go straight keto. I'm 42 years old and hip bursitis is brutal! I have had several rounds of oral steroids & injections. I've stayed away from NSAIDs since being on steroids. I'm on an oral dose now but it's not helping. I can hardly do the recommended stretches because it hurts so bad. I have SI joint instability along with an impingement in my right hip. I'm a RN and "rest" hasn't been an option. I'm so frustrated. I am sobbing when I get home from work. @@gayempathmotherfighterandl6408 Hi Diana, I found Dr Ken Berry’s on keto very helpful and inspiring. He has loads of videos on KZfaq. He’ll tell you about all the foods that are inflammatory to stay away from. It is not just bursitis that this way of eating has helped me with. Once I got over 40, I had trouble staying at my desired weight. The doctors would tell you to have whole grains, skim this and that, take the skin off the chicken, etc. Turns out that those are all lies. In fact, at this stage I believe that the system is much more interested in sick people than healthy ones. There is no money in healthy people. I went from 73kg to stable for over 2 years now between 65 and 66kg. So other doctors on KZfaq I found vey informative are Dr Paul Mason andDr Eric Berg. I wish you well on your journey. Rina

After 3 back operations, when you are not supposed to sleep on your side, I got used to sleeping on my back. My back prefers that now and I am wary of sleeping on my side in case it aggravates my lower back. The exercise where you do that gentle stretch, lie flat on your back and you roll your legs together side to side is also great for your lower back, and helps your core. Thanks guys - excellent. I broke my hip about 10 years ago - 3 large screws at the femoral neck, all good except what I assume is now extreme bursitis, some days perfect others literally immobile. Great help. Warm Regards Pete

Now I have been suffering with hip pain off and on over the several years. Again it was said to be an impingement that need to be removed surgically. Well, I went though all the Cat and Xray procedures again. Then out of nowhere a surgeon tells me I need a total hip replacement. Then the doctor's final report documented the wrong hip Red Flag. I immediately asked for a referral to another surgeon. Ok, the surgeon was not a good match in professionism. The new surgeon explained there was nothing at this point that could be done about the impingement. The damage was done. However, the hip was not causing me pain It is bursitis so I was given several options to choice from. I choice the injection again. I am very thankful I came across your video it will help with future treatment plans for the bursitis. I am a active advocate for my health hence new empowering knowledge though researching and finding your great health videos. Thank you. Love,Peace, Joy and Abundance in all your positive spaces.

In my 30s I was being treated for approximately 6 months by my physio for hip pain. He diagnosed bursitis. A year late the pain was worse. I had an X-ray & MRI. It was osteoarthritis! I held off for 5 years then had a total hip replacement. Just about to get the other hip replaced now …

The video is very informative. There's one thing that doesn't work for everyone. I developed bursitis from power walking up and down hills. I tried R.I.C.E. but the ice caused an immediate burning sensation. The cold winter air made it burn worse to the point I could only lay down on my back with my leg straight for relief. My chiropractor worked with me with the same exercises but I only got brief relief. Unfortunately, I had to give my hip complete rest by laying on my back and no sitting. I'm back to the mild exercises that my chiropractor and you recommend and "strolling" on a flat road. Its a slow process but coming along slowly but surely.😊

I’ve had bursitis in both of my hips for 20 years. Very painful especially in cool weather I feel like I have needles all the way down my thighs. Of course I’ve tried acupuncture, PT, massage all without any help. Ice is the only thing. Six months ago I fell down some stairs. Now I’m trying to do exercises for my low back without irritating my bursitis more. I haven’t been able to go back to work. I’m going to try some of their exercises
