Hey Inbal!!! I am a portuguese learning hebrew and I find your videos really useful. I wonder if you can answer this doubt I have: How do you know which vowel to pronounce when reading hebrew. Take for instance the word shabat (שבת), how does one know is shah-baht and not she-beht. Because the way I see it it could be pronounced both ways. I hope I made myself clear. Wow so many borrowed words. I am curious about the borrowed words that have the 'J' sound. Jacket has Zayin with an accent mark and Pajama has a Gimel with an accent mark. My hearing is not so good, and the on-screen captioning is not always accurate. Do the words Jacket and Pajama actually use the 'J' sound? BTW, I found you on Truth Social and Subscribed to you here. -ShalomMike
@HebrewbyInbal
@HebrewbyInbal Жыл бұрын
Very good comment/question Mike, thank you for that! Hebrew does not have J sound as in Jacket or Pijama, or G as in George. In Hebrew there is only G as in Guitar. That is why in order to write these sounds and words in Hebrew we use ' attached to Zayin or Gimmel like this: ג' ז' Jacket we write ז'קט George would be ג'ורג' And pijama would be פיג'מה For /j/ sounds we would use Zayin with an ' sign, and for /g/ sounds as is George we would use Gimel with an ' sign. I hope that makes it clearer. Let me know, and great to have you here :)

These English words are not enough to have a conversation.
@HebrewbyInbal
@HebrewbyInbal Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment! You're right, simply knowing English words that also exist in Hebrew won't necessarily enable you to have a full conversation in Hebrew. However, those words can still be incredibly valuable for basic communication and can serve as a helpful starting point for building your Hebrew vocabulary. For example, knowing how to say "hello," "goodbye," "please," and "thank you" in Hebrew may not be enough for a full conversation, but they are still essential words that can help you navigate everyday interactions with Hebrew speakers. Ultimately, the goal is to continue expanding your Hebrew vocabulary so that you can have more complex and nuanced conversations. But starting with common words and phrases that are identical in English and Hebrew can be a helpful first step. I hope that helps clarify things a bit, and feel free to let me know if you have any other questions!

Alahym אלהים has taught me how to properly transliterate Hebrew. The language was hijacked with Massoretic vowel points. We have been lied to about His name. There is no alef or ayin (A) between the Yod and the He. He has shown me that the vowels if not placed within a word are within the constenants. For example, so called John transliterated from Hebrew from letters, Yod uau chet nun nun, Yo u che nu n, Yo'uchenun יוחנן, pronounced Yo oo che nun, the "o" in Yod is used here. Then we look at the name Yaqub (Jacob) There IS an Ayin after the Yod, Yod ayin quph bet, Y a qu b, Yaqub יעקב. Bearing that in mind, and using the exact same doctrine we look at the name we have been given, Yahuah, the same as יוחנן Yo'uchenun has no alef or ayin after the Yod. Yod he uau he, Yo h ua h, Yohuah! The name "Yahuah" would need an א Alef or an ע Ayin after the י Yod to make it be true, making His name no longer a four letter Hebrew word but five, and would have to be written as יאהוה or יעהוה. Hela lu Yohuah! הל לו יהוה, He lamed lamed uau Yod he uau he, He la l u Yo h ua h. The so called translation Joshua is actually a really good translation for what we believed to be Yeshua (salvation) which should be written Yoshua ישוע, Yod shin uau ayin, Yo sh u a. It has been right infront of us the whole time. The proper transliteration for the name of the Son of Nun, יהושע, so called Joshua is actually Yohusha which is also the name of our משיחוך Meshiychuk. They have confused things so much. There was more hiding in the Word Joshua than we realised, the o in Yod! Man has confused the Hebrew language with vowel points etc. Putting vowels where they should not be and taking away the vowels that are within the constenants that should be within the words. Also Yah is a lunar deity in ancient Egyptian religion. The word simply means "Moon". It is transcribed as Yah, iah, Jah, or Aah. Yohusha said: I will give you what no eye has seen and what no ear has heard and what no hand has touched and what has not entered into the heart of man. BESOREH OF TA'OM (THOMAS) saying 17. For we are not as many, which corrupt the Word of Alahym: but as of sincerity, but as of Alahym, in the sight of Alahym speak we in Meshiychuk. QURENTIYM SHENIY (2 CORINTHIANS) 2:17 Alef lamed he yod mem, A la h y m, Alahym אלהים. Alef lamed uau he, A l ua h, Aluah אלוה. Mem shin yod chet uau kaph, Me shi y ch u k, Meshiychuk משיחוכ. Quph dalet shin, Qu da sh, Qudash קדש. Alef bet resh he mem, A b re he m, Abrehem אברהם. Yod tzade chet quph, Y tza ch q, Ytzachq יצחק, pronounced as Yitzachq and written this way so that the English reader understands how to make the sound of the word. Bet shin uau resh he, Be s ua re h, Besuareh בשורה sounds like Besoreh which is Hebrew for Gospel. Alef dalet nun yod, A da n y, Adany אדני (Master) pronounced and should be written as Adaniy so again, the English reader understands how to make the sound of the word. Yod resh uau shin lamed yod mem, Yo r u shi l y m, Yorushilym ירושלים (Jerusalem). All glory and praise to Yohuah יהוה Alahykm אלהיכם. Alef mem nun, A me n, Amen אמן. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Cedom and Metzreym, where also our Adaniy was crucified. CHIZAYON (REVELATION) 11:8 "spiritually is called Cedom and Metsreym" They fooled us into worshipping "Yah" ועה iah. the Egyptian moon alahym. Also the so called translation for Meshiychuk (Mess iah). Spiritualy Egypt, ועה, Yah, iah, jah. Shin lamed uau mem, Shi l u m, Shilum שלום.

Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore Al-Yohuah of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest. LUQUS (LUKE) 10:2 There are lots preaching "Yah" spiritual Egypt. I pray that you join us sister, I know that you will work hard. (Is)is (ra)h Gadr(el) = Israel, spiritual Egypt which should be written; (Yo)d (shi)n (r)esh (a)leph (l)amed, Yoshir'al.

Yes very easy and if you speak other languages like me, Swedish German French English then so very easy…I went to Ulpan at age 19 for a few months before moving to the US and started speaking within 2-3 weeks, but yes I was a snob and avoided English speakers. I moved to a kibbutz where no one knew I spoke English. Yes I lied, but it was worth it. I got away with it as I’m Swedish and so told everyone I speak Swedish French German but not English. So no Israeli got to practice their English with me. Ha ha ha ha. Boy did I learn fast. I found Hebrew to be a very easy language to learn and if one speaks German already then the accent was no problem at all. But yes it’s very hard for Americans to get the accent I noticed. The rolling R’s sound terrible. And the O sounds. Ou etc. And yeah while living in Germany my best friend was Israeli from 4th to 7th grade, so guess I was already exposed back then. Well good luck everyone. Lehit or just “yallah bye” works. More English words now than back years ago. And also lots of Eastern European and Russian words, like ananas is pineapple in Swedish too. Situazia. Música etc etc. Kaffe and tayj is coffe tea. Banana is banana. Toast I this is the same and don’t forget hummus and you’re all set. But don’t forget we have verbs too. And He is Hebrew is the word for She. Israelis mix this one up all the time. So it’s reversed. Hou is the word from he or him. So a bit weird. But one quickly gets used to it. Hebrew has certainly been easier for me to learn than Spanish. Hebrew reading is tricky though. And I can’t spell at all as my reading is super slow and sucks. I was not bat mitzvah as I didn’t grow up Jewish. My dad was a career diplomat and neglected to mention a Jewish heritage. My reading is poor and slow. But all this will change once I make Aliyah. See you in Tel Aviv or some other surrounding area. Yallah bye’
