Aces Cracked? It might be your own fault.
One of the biggest problems with novices and weak players is their passive play. If you're not opening with a raise, should you even be playing. If it's not good enough to raise, it's not good enough to play.
And one of the worse mistakes is to limp with pocket Aces.
Yes, occasionally you might want to induce a bet, or hide your strength. But simply put, if you're not coming in with a good firm bet, you're probably playing them wrong.

You want them to call, all day long. And accept that 14% of the time they're going to suck out.

Bold of you to assume they know what linping means in the first place 😂

This is anecdotal thinking, and it's incorrect. You said yourself "if she bets, I'm gone". That's not what she wants. She had a better hand than you. Statistically she get's paid out more if you stay in the hand. She just got unlucky this time. The majority of the time keeping you in the hand makes her more money than pushing you out with a big raise. To be clear, I'm not saying it's correct ot limp with Aces always or anything like that, I'm just saying your logic is very bad.

Well, let's say that she thought AA is better hand, why in the world you check at the end? You either try to get more or push him out of his hand..you got max no matter what. Or just try to represent a better flush...checking after he checked I believe was her only mistake.

I'm a new player so I'm open to my opinion being flawed, but the way I see it is that giving the big blind position a free flop is generally wrong. Also raising pre-flop gives you some information on their hand strength so you can abuse them more post-flop. Simply checking, means you have no clue what your opponent's range is, and he gets a free flop. Moreover 50% of hands raise from her position, because she is the chip leader as well. She gives little to no info about her hand by raising small. Post flop I agree that checking is a viable play. You aim for your opponent to hit a top pair and bait them into raising. However the flop having two hearts and a J9 makes me lean more into a small bet instead of no bet at all. If one of the aces was hearts then you can check a bit more often, since you can hit a backdoor flush. But turning more cards is often improving the opponents hand, not yours, and you're not even making them pay for it; not even a small price. I think the video creator is mostly right.

@@typtyp7 Because the board meant she likely no longer had the best hand. Throwing in more money at the end is throwing away money.

@@LoLeanderx Did you read my post? I made it very clear that I was not making a general statement about poker strategy, only saying that his logic is very bad. PS: Most of what you said here is nonsense lol.

She played poorly postflop, yes. It folded to her with aces though. In that position raising looks extremely strong so a limp to get any value from aces seems the best option to me. As for postflop play, she played to scared and missed value bets I'll give you that.

What, raising first in out of the small blind is everything else but strong. Yes, you are OOP, but there is only 1 player left. You should raise 40%+ there.

lol bad example. Aces should be limp in early position not late position.
