Thanks a lot! I really love hand drawn animation - it's the imperfection of it that makes it looks so cool, the way you can see the individual lines change between each frame and how it's not perfectly smooth.

@@HalfAsleepChris I'm not being a know-all, but you could have done the rotoscoping a lot easier in Photoshop, Drop the scans, set to multiply, on to one shot of the cover - bingo 24 stills, no masking in FCP. You can output to a .mov or .mp4 straight from PS for bringing into your workflow.

@@HalfAsleepChris Thanks, it was really fun to play with the format and expectations of a YT travel video. I would have liked to have done more of those long payoffs (I always find them delightful) but couldn't plan that far ahead in other places. We're currently on different sides of the world with full on jobs. We have certainly discussed doing a reunion, but I'm not sure when that might be. I know that's not a satisfying answer but we defiantly would like to if we can make it work 😊

I never knew so much effort went into the stop motion in your videos. I really thought it was some fancy app that just went viola and there it was. Thanks so much for the recommendation. We saw a huge spike in subscribers and were getting a little anxious about what was going on, so happy to see the explanation. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to seeing more of these how to's. Maybe one day we'll try our hand at doing a stop motion film too.

I’m a new viewer! I just found your channel today and all I can say is WOW. I’ve never felt so much emotion through KZfaq videos before. Every video is so aesthetically pleasing and it has the perfect pick for music. Most videos these days just scream for click bait. Watching yours just feels so nice and homey.
