To all who are asking why Bluestreak has no blue, that's not why he's called Bluestreak. It's a reference to the character's distinctive rapid speech pattern and his tendency to be a bit of a chatterbox. Anybody ever heard the term "talking up a blue streak" before? That's why he's called Bluestreak. It's not the color, it's the way the character talks. Thank you for your time.

I agree. I love their Earth modes. However I WILL be cherry picking for ER. I will be keeping the Siege version of Bluestreak.

I like them all, but definitely the siege versions have bad proportions with the legs, that being said, it is their only flaw.

one small thing i love about this mold is you can fully transform these figures without removing any of the weapons ported on the hood and back they come with. plus i know many have been saying it but takara/hasbro have been nailing the mini masterpiece on a budget lately these figures transform very similiarly on a watered down varient to the masterpiece.

I know he isn't an autobot but i was hoping barricade as well in this review, the bad cop parter of prowl would've been cool to see At least i hope barricade also gets his earthrise mode like this 3 guys, barry has a nice paint job that also makes the mold pop

I've been modifying Siege Barricade with a stronger bumper and a front windshield central pillar (which was something I did by accident due to a pin removal mishap, though the end result is still alien as there's no other pillars on the car otherwise), as well as fixing some fit issues with his legs.

With respect at least Hasbro attempted to get figures into shops in the USA and Canada so you had the opportunity, no matter how slim, to actually buy them. In the UK we've basically been told to do one and that our money is no good! Of the three only Prowl was available here, the other two we had to import or get from speciality shops if we were lucky enough to be online for the 30 seconds they were in stock for. I'd love Bluestreak and Smokescreen but I'm unlikely to ever own them unless I sell a kidney. I love the stop-motion by the way. 🙂

All I'm gonna say, best version of this specific mold is Barricade (Though Bluestreak is close tying). Usually I hate straight transplants from one series to another... but Barricade is the exception of that rule.

I may be late to comment this, but I don’t recommend changing around Prowl’s light bar a lot. The clear plastic on my siege Prowl that is the port on the top for the car mode has a crack. I just hoped you knew about this

The whole point of this version of Smokescreen is he's a repaint of siege Prowl in G1 Smokescreen colours. That's the point.... rather than being a new colour scheme..... its for G1 fan boys/girls. Rather than a new version of said character. And Wow BlueStreak looks slick!

"It really doesn't make sense that they specifically made him the Japanese police car colour scheme." Well here's the thing. That's how Prowl looks both in the G1 toyline and show, so if they didn't have it, people would be crying and whining about the scheme not being G1 accurate.

I kind of wish the Earthrise Smokescreen has come with the Prowl recolour head just for the option of popping it off and on but oh well, I guess I’ll just have to find another siege prowl and use it. Also am I the only one bugged by the white back of prowl barely covered up by the black ab piece. I painted it black from the bottom to the cut off and now I think it looks great. Oh, great review by the way, not many of the “essayists” have touched this mould

17:54 Because they are really trying to get as accurate as they can with scale, the cost is essentially spread out among the waves, allowing larger figures like Hoist to be made at Deluxe pricing by utilizing smaller figures like Cliffjumper at that price point.

One fun thing that wasn't mentioned is the rifle has a little square peg that lets it peg into the top of Prowl's lightbar, rather than having to put the lightbar on the rifle. I shuffled around some accessories so Barricade has Bluestreak's rifle, Bluestreak has Con Mirage's gun, Con Mirage has Hotlink's nullrays, and Hotlink just mounts his targetmasters on his arms.

I never got the Prowl figure, but I do have Bluestreak and Smokescreen, I found my copy of Bluestreak at a walmat in my home state of Texas in the beginning of this year, and I found Smokescreen several months later at my local Gamestop, I am hoping to get the Earthrise Prowl figure alongside Earthrise Ironhide later on, because at first I didn't want it, but I suddenly changed my mind when I saw Prowl being listed as two pack with Ironhide, I am very excited and can't wait until I get them.

I only snagged Barricade, as I don't have many Decepticons in my collection, and MAN was I satisfied. Since it uses the Bluestreak head, he essentially can only rotate his head with that 5chin in the way. But I'm happy to have at least gotten one of these molds either way. And a bit lucky to get the preorder on Earthrise Prowl and Ironhide. Maybe I should actually take advantage of Toyhax and buy the labels for Barricade?

I like your paint job!! I never got Siege Prowl because I too hated the clear plastic wheels. I always figured this body style was more of a Nissan concept car than a Jaguar, but I can understand your view. Last thing: my G1 Prowl had shoulder cannons so.. why not here?

I bought Bluestreak off eBay for $40 because I figured I'd never see him in stores. Then, every Walmart I went to after that, there were pegs full of him. Oh well, fool me 346 times, shame on me. Oh wait, there's an Earthrise version of him coming out. I better go to eBay . . .

No joke, when Walmart was having the 35th anniversary figures, my Walmart legitimately had about 30 Bluestreaks. I never did buy one for some reason and they eventually all disappeared. I have seen some showed up at a local toy store but for the most part, there just disappeared. I did get two Cell shaded Prime and a Megs as well as Soundblaster.

I definitely prefer my universe universe one. Prowl has the shoulder cannons like the g1 toy, and it’s not parts forming. And I think the legs took better on the universe one. Also weapon storage is better on the universe, AND the light bar is just part of the sculpt, not an accessory. AND he’s bigger

I never watched g1 and I always wondered why smokescreen is blue but bluestreak is grey shouldn’t they’re names be swapped around so it makes more sense

I never got Selects Smokescreen so I did go with ER for him, but I’m just sticking with Siege Prowl and Bluestreak. At least I have 1 of the ER mold. I mean it’s better...but it’s not THAT much better.
