I know, it feels like you've hit your chest against a wall. It feels like you are having an severe allergic reaction and your lungs are closing up. Before I started speech therapy sometimes it feels like I need an oxygen mask or a shot of epi. to open up my airways . In the past if I started stuttering I just stopped talking because I couldn't continue. Then after a minute I would attempt to restart the sentence, only to stutter again.What I learned is that your stutter isn't caused by a lack of oxygen, you aren't suffocating you are fine. However, the key to avoid stuttering is to have enough air in your lungs when talking and to use the three Ts think, take a breathe, and then talk. I suppose non stuttering people do that involuntarily, but not us. We need to remind ourselves to do that. You just need to breathe in through the diaphragm and at the height of your breathe start talking. Try that. If you are stuttering mid sentence, don't try to continue because you won't be able to. If you catch yourself stuttering just let your breathe go, take a new breathe and start again at the breathe's height. Don't try to rush through sentences, it will only make matters worse. Practice speaking slowly. I have been improving with these techniques but still hasn't mastered the phone yet.

Thanks for advice, i am really breathing in too little oxygen, i should try to fill up my lungs full with oxygen before speaking. And phone is my biggest enemy too lol, i think it is because no actual human contact occurs.

I had the same problem (not so severe tho) since I was a kid, I thought I wont be able to pass even 3d grade but I ended up finishing University, at first it was so bad I couldn't speak face to face with anyone without stutter ... then I realized that this is some sort of fight and I've put myself in stress situation knowing that I'll be awkward and they may laugh at me and slowly but steady I overcame it. Now I can talk normally but is always a fight, controling my breath, calming down, picking other words when I know I'll stutter or using a small tick helping me to move on. I didn't get rid of stutter I just control it, sometimes is harder, sometimes is easier.

@abdulazizalhakbani93

No, because they feel normal and relax because they don't think for the reactions of the people. The only problem for them is how they see this stuttering ? are they accept this thing? are they feel normal with this issue? These things inside the brain are very important for solving this issue.

this course is not abut being fluent at all, it is about being in control of your stammer and not being afraid to speak. however many factor can relate to why someone stammers. It isn't all about listening it is a technique that is taught and what you don't see on these videos is the up at 6 and to bed at 11. I know all of this from being on this programme myself

+gpskater2 yes it is a fantastic course, yes it is vital to keep working if you don't keep moving forwards you'll go back. always need to expand them comfort zones if you don't they will shrink and become smaller. a grad I know made up something about that, it is about an elastic band if you keep expanding it  will become bigger however when you stop it will shrink and not be able to expand the same side and needs more effort to get back to that same point. my first course was in London, may I ask how long you have been on the course?

i have a stutter and i was reffered to one of these types of courses but it didnt fell like it was me talking i felt like i couldnt talk the way i wanted to im not talking about clearing my stutter i mean i couldnt talk with my normal accent without stuttering i had to put on a fake accent just so i could talk correctly, i know it sounds stupid but it didnt feel like i was myself when i put on a fake accent, notice how they change how they talk its more like a change of accent for most of them
