Excellent. Simple straight forward video. 😌 I have just got a ps5. When i power off my PS5 my ps4 turns on.. and vice versa. . For 15 minutes last night I couldn't turn ps4 ps5 amd TV off. Just when I thought i had it. " BEEP" One turns on the the other turns on. Thanks for the help 🙂

This video was very helpful. I was getting annoyed because my system kept turning back on after I turned it off about five times. All I wanted to do is play some animal crossing, but the PS5 had other plans in mind. It was like dealing with a jealous lover who just wouldn't go away. It's like get out of here PS5 I'm trying to make live to my switch!

Great explanation, only reason it needs one tho is that "power off link" is misleading and borderline incorrect.

Broo thank you.. I didn't have this problem, until my baby boy started going for the tv remote controler and pressing bilions of buttons when we're not looking.. Have no idea what he pressed but its so anoying that my tv turns on my ps5 and automatically the ps5 goes in to rest mode

I just got a new Samsung and every time I turn it off it turns my ps5 off like 5 seconds later and my ps5 is saying it was turned off wrong and can be corrupted or damaged. I turned off all the hdmi links and it’s still doing it

You need to turn off 'HDMI simplink' in your TV's settings.

@@andrewosmond614 this didn't seem to work for my TV. It looks like it just prevented the TV from turning on with the PS5, they're no longer linked. One thing that does seem to have worked for me is I have just connected a Nintendo Switch to my TV and it appears to no longer automatically turns on the PS5 when I turn on the TV. Maybe having more than 1 similarly connected device confuses the TV as which one to turn on so instead does nothing. That works for me though.

@@spideliciousx9822 i think you have to make sure when you turn the tv off it is not left on the PS5 source. Otherwise it auto blips it on. I now swap back to ‘normal tv’ when im finished with the ps5 and every time i have turned the tv on since the ps5 has stayed off, so i assume this is the best solution.
