Thank you for sharing your point of view. I'd like to know more about what exactly does "See yourself and everyone around as they are" mean when your perspective is 1) everchanging and 2) depends on your filter in one particular moment? there is no such thing "as is" because your mind creates the assessment and judgement the person/situation/thing. When you're in a good mood you will see something as great, when you are pissed off, that same thing will be horrible annoying.

​@@thepowerfulself You are welcome. Your second point is an assumption and not a fact. That's why Sages say that Reality is beyond concepts/beliefs/filters... So, simply, you see things as they are, not projecting anything onto them. Snake as a snake. It's not good, or bad, and especially is not a cute thing to play around with. You don't label it and at the same time, you're aware it's not safe to be around it. I mean you can go delulu and say that some people are playing with poisonous snakes and that there is nothing wrong with it but I believe you're teaching your child to move away from it. Discernment not judgment of good or bad. If a snake kills a child, is that bad? Depends, some mothers would probably be happy. In the end, one should leave the snake alone because it does not want to be played with. Or does it? It's all perspective yet a snake is still a snake. People like to infuse philosophy into common sense department yet when a snake comes they shit their pants. And people can be like snakes. Some people are lying and deceptive on purpose; it's their nature, and they enjoy it. Some people just do not have the best intentions for you. Politicians are usually the best example. This also includes our egos. Ego wants to run the show, be the best, the most spiritual... So, it is vulnerable to superiority and pride and overassessing its abilities; I'm enlightened, I'm this and that, the snake won't bite me. On the other hand, it can go into inferiority, crying and bitching around, projecting snakes on ropes. And it's usually bouncing in between. The more it gets slapped by life the faster it learns; usually. So in a way, these beings that are purposefully negative are doing us a favor since someone has to execute all processes to humble the ego down. Evil is, in a way good, necessary; it develops compassion and potentially moves the ego in the positive direction, but it's not bad. That's projecting, filtering, and negative manifestation through a positive filter. Nevertheless, all sane beings abstain from negative behavior. Evil, in a nutshell, is breaking the Golden Rule and anyone who wants to be happy should follow the it. It's golden for a reason. So, one should have humility and asses oneself with honesty. Step 4 in a 12-step group. When you do that you're much more capable of discerning others and you won't be mad because the world is going through wars and all else because you'll understand ego and its mechanisms. Ofc, there is a theory that we all live in a personal universe and I've encountered people who are literally denying wars happening around us. They are usually high on drugs.
