You are right 100%. They never work to have their resources. At the end, they blame you for being a fool who wasted his money.

We've said it again and again and again. Don't send your hard-earned money back home. No they don't improve their lives. No they won't be grateful. No they won't stop asking for more.

The only people I’m currently sending money to in the Caribbean is my parents, my mom is 66, she suffers with epilepsy, my dad is 73 and I don’t want him driving a 16 wheeler truck anymore more so I choose to support them financially. Other family members are not my problem. They raised 6 kids through poverty and will do anything we ask, they deserve to enjoy a good life in their later lives. They don’t abuse me either because sometimes when I’m sending money they will say they have money from the month before, they will also grow a lot of their own food. I just give God the glory for helping me to finally put my foot down and start saying no to the others who abuse my kindness 🙏🏽

I agree with you 100 percent. I stop seeing my own brothers and sisters because of a similar situation regarding the death of my mother.

The best is when you get asked to pay for a funeral… only you pay for the funeral... nobody else. Then have to explain you don’t have that kind of money… only to be asked, “Well doesn’t your boyfriend have money?” Um… no and it’s not his job to pay for a funeral when there are 25 actual family members who can pay for the funeral. Obviously this is not the case 100% of the time across the board but it does seem to be the trend bc those overseas tend to think that Americans have so much more than they do when in fact many Americans are struggling to make ends meet just like their family overseas- not to mention the fact that Americans make more bc everything COSTS MORE in America- much more! So their dollar doesn't go as far as most outsiders think. Either way, constantly taking without showing genuine gratitude or giving back in any way is a disgusting trait that should be avoided like the plague.

This applies to giving money to family members not overseas. I’m an FBA and so many times have people in my community went broke helping unworthy parents, siblings and other family members. You see it with a lot of celebrity athletes and entertainers. Candy from RHOA had to put a stop to her mom’s excessive credit card spending. Rick Ross said “ I don’t give out money I give out opportunities.” That’s my motto now! I gave money to family members who did not improve their circumstances and was disrespectful when confronted about their choices. They can’t be helped therefore, it’s best to let them stay in their struggles.

My relatives are in the US, along with me. Some people are an endless well of need - with no sense of true appreciation or reciprocity. I will share what I have when I determine a true need I was giving money to a relative off and in for a year and a half. Meanwhile, she's taking a 2-3 week vacation, and I couldn't even afford a single day off from my side hustle. Nope. But God has used this season show me hearts, character, and motives. He's opening doors and I see who truly has my back.

I'm very selective about who I assist. Family members are often the most ungrateful, manipulative people you can encounter, and, as your video points out, they often will not reciprocate financially or emotionally.

You have to live your life for you. The people you help would never help you when you need. They are more takers than givers. Your money is for your survival. Takers are never satisfied. The truth must be told by any means necessary.

Children you help but grown people are very manipulative. When you are doing well everyone wants to be buddies with you. When you are not doing well no one wants nothing to do with you.
