Stop Slicing In 2 Steps Guaranteed. Go Here: www.paulwilsongolf.com/cure-s...
Finally stop slicing the golf ball with this tip. If you slice, this is literally the best golf tip you will ever watch to get you to stop slicing the ball.
So many people slice yet so few ever fix it. Here we are over 200 years of playing golf and yet 80% to 90% of all golfers slice. Well, I am finally sick of it so I guess it's up to me to cure slicing.
Keep in mind this is step one. This tip fixes the slice spin on your shots in minutes. Once you can do that you are no longer a slicer. Sure, you're on the wrong direction but at least you are doing half right. Fix the spin then fix the direction. It's literally that simple.
So if you finally want to stop slicing this is the most important tip you can ever watch. It'll literally change your life because you'll finally understand how to cure a slice getting rid of the slice spin. You will also hit the ball longer because you are no longer adding loft to your clubs.
Again, remember this is step 1. Stop the slice spin first. Then you work on direction to hit it straight.

My favorite part of all Paul’s videos is how simplistic his fixes are. I’ve watched so many videos and read so many articles that have this over analytic content with 20+ steps that most amateur golfers won’t remember when they get to the range or course. This is painfully simple and easy to understand. Bravo on these! I am a fan.

Simple is the key for sure. I have thought "fast and easy" since lesson 1 over 31 years ago. Back then I knew people were leading busy lives and it wasn't going to get better so everything I teach has to be fast and easy. Now with KZfaq I can help thousands of people. The snowball has started rolling downhill. At some point it will be unstoppable.

I never comment on golf videos but I have to on this one. I’ve been playing golf seriously for about 6 months and no joke watched every KZfaq video on how not to slice with my irons. This video changed my game. I went out to the Course on Sunday and the whole round hit maybe 3 slices that were more like pushes everything else was dead straight. Seriously just follow this video and your game will be changed I was a doubter. Paul as soon as I get to Vegas I’ll come say hi and thank you.

When I tried this the first few times, my brain was saying (during the downswing) "Oh, this is going to so completely hook!". But I hit it straighter than ever...which meant that I wasn't even rolling it enough to intentionally hook it! What it taught me was I need to roll it more than I think I do even just to go straight. Thanks Paul. I'm enjoying the Body Swing book and videos too!

One pre-shot routine i always do after i tee it up is to sort of put my feet a bit closer together and take easy swings, focusing on getting that club head around and sqaure. Feeling those wrists rolling through. "In to out, club head through and around" is my little swing thought. I usually hit a small little fade about 250....for a weekend warrior, i'll take it everytime

Hey Paul, thanks as always for the videos. I have learned to play golf thanks to your videos and went from a 130 disaster my first round out in June to a much improved best of 87 this December. Still struggling with a slice on my driver and to a lesser extent on the 3 and 5 woods. The catch is I'm not slicing my irons at all, if anything they go a bit left, and I'm playing really good golf with the 7 and 9 wood. I'm sticking greens from 150-180 out with them. To get better as a player should I bite the bullet and start rolling more on my swing with everything or should I try adding more wrist roll to just those driver and 3 wood tee shots for now?
@paulwilsongolf

Glad you are doing well. That's great improvement in little time Good job. The game will be more fun now and you certainly know you can do it and take it to a new level into the future. Curing slices in minutes is one of my specialities. Just need to see and understand what's happening. If you are slicing the face is open. This means you are not allowing it to rehinge. In other words with driver you are trying to hit it too hard and tightening your wrists. See the wrists as a hinge. They hinge ... they rehinge. Hopefully, you are doing my neutral grip. Then do this drill and watch the face: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hax6gq9zuL63loU.html Then roll it from the top and get it consistently hooking (this is step 1): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/btifkpR_vrbIaJc.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fdSBZamXybemdKM.html Once you can consistently hook it you start to add body to straighten it out (step 2). @@paulwilsongolf Thanks a lot for the detailed reply Paul I really appreciate it. I do indeed use your neutral grip and I've been working your takeaway drill at home. I'm going to start practicing more in the yard with the first drill you linked. I've been working hard at rolling from the top as well and I was keeping my 3 wood tee shots in bounds well the past two days, shot a 44 over 9 this morning on a very narrow course and that included 2 water penalties. I'm going to order that video, schedule some range time in and get my driver swing fixed. Goal for this year is a few rounds in the 70s. I know I can do it.
@paulwilsongolf
@paulwilsongolf 2 жыл бұрын
You are making the effort which is great. Just got to learn a few moves and positions and repeat them so you know no other way. Just do this at home with no ball for a while. The ball (and hitting) is the problem. Master it without the ball for a while. You can still play and work on your short game just don't hit a lot of balls. Work on the movement. This is the fastest way to master it.

Glad you found me. Thanks for the support. I have had this comment before. KZfaq doesn't like short tips. 7 mins plus is ideal. Do short ones and you get nowhere. Plus, I repeat things on purpose. People are distracted as they watch and I think of things as I get into the tip that I mention later. How do I know this? People keep asking me questions that are in the tip. Also, people only retain a small portion of what they hear. So if you ask anyone who knows how to teach they concept is to say it, say it again then repeat it again. If you are impatient or think you have heard it just skip forward. Take your mouse on a computer or finger on a mobile device and move the player forward. If it were me though, I would be hanging on every word and trying to absorb what I am saying. Up to you.

Hey Paul! Is it important to roll the hands manually with each swing in order to square the club?
@paulwilsongolf
@paulwilsongolf 2 жыл бұрын
You would do this if you are putting slice spin on the ball. So yes, you would manually roll them until you rarely put slice spin on it. Think about it. If you hooked every shot you would no longer be a slicer. This would be half right. You would still be on the wrong direction though. So at this point you would add body rotation to straighten it out.

When typical 'slicers' use woods (eg Driver), you can CLEARLY see the very pronounced 'out-to-in' swing path they take, (mainly due to premature upper body rotation that's initiating their downswing, instead of what it SHOULD be, the hips initiating it) which is the NUMBER ONE reason the ball will slice. They will always aim way to the left of target, naturally anticipating the 'slice'. I see it in action ALL THE TIME when golfing with friends.

Hey Paul. Thanks for another great video. Hey maybe a little off topic but I have been watching and following your videos and have improved a lot but I have been having a tough time incorporating the body turn into my swing. I recently played a few rounds on a work trip to Boise and a guy I was playing with did one thing that pretty much fixed me. He told me to get in position and address the ball. Then he poked my right shoulder back about 4 inches with his driver grip. This puts you already in the turn at address which sort of forces you to swing with a full body turn. Something you might pass on to someone struggling to turn.

If you are doing the drill you would see it right in front of you. This would mean you are rolling before you hit the ball. So roll it and get the feeling. Then apply the feeling to your shots. Watch the ball. You want everyone to hook. Get that first then work on body rotation to straighten it out.

Your arms aren't just going to magically do the exact moves. You work on the positions and moves in your swing. In this case you roll it and get it hooking. You then add body to straighten it out. Then you turn your arms off and stop hitting once you've got it.

Roll and hook it first. This doesn't even take the long as you see in the video. See this a half right. You mastered the spin. Then once you can do that switch to body to straighten it out so from the top fire the lower and feel the release just as you are going to hit it. Watch this one to dial it in: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mLKjnqqqnNjZnKM.html You've got this. This is literally 5-10 minutes (15 mins if you're a slow learner) to hit it dead straight.

Thanks for the kind words. No one is going to promote a guy who actually fixes people. I fix everyone and they put themselves out of business. I will just keep doing what I do and making people better. One day everyone will want to do it. Being scratch is easy to get you back. You took a break from golf and when you got back into it you started using your arms. Seen it a million times. Got to completely turn them off and power it with the body. Do that and you will be back to scratch in no time. Working on putting for extended periods does hurt the back for a while until you get used to it. Got to put in the hours. If it works then keep doing it.

For sure. Curing slices in minutes is one of my specialties. Takes me minutes from massive slice to dead straight. Been doing this for 31+ years now. To do that, you can use this trigger: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iMqgm9eZqLedhoE.html So simple. Watch how as I can cure slicers in the 2 videos on this page: www.paulwilsongolf.com/cure-slice

@@paulwilsongolf you’re the man. I’ll watch each of these and let you know how it goes later this week. I took a lesson and the person suggested I swing really fast and should buy Xstif clubs (I currently have cavity back RBZs with a stiff shaft). Strangely, I think my swing speed is only a little over 100 and I’m pretty sure I don’t need xstiff clubs but I also don’t want to disagree with the expert because I suck something fierce. I am 6’3” 240lbs and a weight lifter. You comment about trying to kill the ball is probably my biggest issue. I also feel awkward sometimes like my clubs might not be long enough or my angle is wrong. That said, I suck and know it’s 200% me and not the equipment.

I would stiff to the stiff for now. Going to be easier to swing as you fix this slice. Get used to it and hit some great drives then think about getting x stiff. I use x in all of my clubs so anything getting into 105mph+ you may need them. Just stick to the plan. The first drills will have you using arms until you get it hooking. Once you switch to body try to stay relaxed. You can do it.
