Damn, I remember that mod from waaaay back in the day. I wouldn't be surprised if it stopped being updated before the game added overheating.

Removing the back of the truck will have negatively affected handling. It's designed to handle properly towing 20-ish tons, so throwing some ballast on the back will significantly help with stability. Sauce: I drive trucks as my job Also: if you're not towing using a truck with a 10, 12, or 14 speed transmission, you can start in 2nd or 3rd and skip gears on the upshift until you get north of 35 mph (55ish kph). Engine has the most pull between 1250 and 2000 rpm usually Also also: Unloaded braking distance, especially driving 'bobtail' (without a trailer) will increase braking distance, so having a few thousand pounds of weight on the truck might have helped with that braking zone

From 33:08 to 34:15 is such a spectacular finale, especially since you started that run at 24:15. Three spectacular, cinematic crashes in just over a minute!

You can node grab the bonnet and attach to another node where it wont obstruct the wheel, for example you can attach it to the roof. Love the content btw 👍

I got the hoodie that Laddo attempted to put on a dog, it's very comfortable and every vehicle that I set it down on turns into an orange estate car and flips over, 10/10

I think what would be cool is the gun mod. The hunters get less powerful guns pistols and shotguns like in STH and Alex gets any type from Rifles to RPGs. The hunters can only shoot your car if you are stationary for too long. The guns won’t instantly kill your vehicle but it will damage it. It might be a bit laggy and I don’t know if it works in multiplayer though.

When driving a truck this fast, it's beneficial to shift in twos or three's, the gears are so short that skipping some is significantly faster

Its a fun series but it really does feel like you set it up to just win. Seems like you could just drive around incircles and none of them would be able to hit your truck hard enough to do enough damage to prevent it from driving.

try turning up the voices in the settings it will allow for more sounds to play at once (which is why you couldn't hear the engine in the beginning) as far as i can tell there is no performance hit.

I think this truck mod is a little broken. Maybe try the Crash Hard offroad trucks next (If they run on everyone's PCs)?

You can attach nodes, in the case of the bonnet, you could of attached it high up out the way of the wheels

Too bad the truck in this one (or possibly any in beamng) has multiple fuel but no air tank as taking that away would be very efficient way to stop a truck (also more realistic)

Softbody vehicle physics have and probably always will be pretty weird and janky. But this game always struck me as extra because everyone loves it so much, Yet it seems the physics they use to be one of the buggiest and weakest examples. The values for points on a vehicle attaching to other points always felt like they were attached by Wood dowels and glue rather than massive bolts and studs (Wheels being the direct reference here). As well as when two things collide in the game, they tend to get welded together even better than parts of the single vehicle that are actually welded together despite not having any visual reason to be. The truck hood floating out 20 ft away from the truck but still somehow inextricably stuck to some point on the rear of the chassis is a good example. I just wish they'd do more tweaking with this engine. It seems the devs have good intentions of keeping up with the game and technically maintaining it, And it seems to me like a lot of the physics issues are a matter of tweaks and slight reworks with certain things. Like the way most suspension feels like theres absolutely no shock absorbers, that they're just fully loose spring coils supporting the car that go all wobbly under braking, It makes for pretty horrible driving in almost all premises and yet this game seems to be held up in high regards for its driving simulation. I've had this game for a couple years and every once in a while I'll see a bunch of buzz around some changes and I'll hop back on for a bit, But I still have the same takeaway after all this time. This simulation is still only consistently good for being a car crash tech demo. Despite the aforementioned buzz hyping it up to be something more. Making it less "realistic" would betray the purpose and foundation of the games base, But I believe tweaks in the right place to actually make it more realistic is the actual solution for facilitating all of these extra gamemodes and activities that at present, can't really maintain themselves without admin intervention.

There's something about this series I don't get. It almost feels like you're allowed to be stationary for way longer than you would be allowed to in other modes/challenges.

Have you guys done the ledge rock crawling on this map?

You should be the attacker or have a lot smaller area because 90% of this is you driving solo or no action.
