I was a 6 handicap and then suddenly I could not hit the golf ball. With a pitching wedge everything was a shank or top. I have reconstructed my backswing and downswing but nothing helped. Have not played in 6 weeks because I literally can't move the ball forward. Was getting ready to quit playing golf due to the frustration. This video is brilliant because keeping my right heel down versus lifting it which apparently I was doing seems to have fixed my issue. A shank is merely an inch or so forward and causes nothing but heartache. Thanks so much for this tip!

I had the same experience; 6 handicap and totally lost my swing. These two fixes have straightened my swing out. What a relief!

Same dude, would start out the first half of a session or round striking everything great, then it would just go to shank city and no matter what I did I couldn't get out of it. Was the worst with pitches and wedges. Keeping trail heel down through impact was the reason as well.

Reason one is my cause. After trying every drill I’ve been able to find at the range today this one is the death move. The wrong move has become so ingrained only repetition and practice will get it out. I feel relieved that I’ve finally got something to work with. Thanks mate.

Awesome awesome video. It got to a point t that I stopped playing golf because of the shank I’ve tried everything to get rid of the bloody shank. After watching your video I checked and yes it’s my dam right heel. Thank you so much

The second fault is mine. My shank happens from 50 or 60 yards out. You described my fault perfectly. Thank you. I wouldn't wish the shanks on anyone.

Thanks so much for this video. I started shk..g off and on from the start of the season in May, very depressing. I searched a ton of videos and your advice for prob #2 made sense. I tried brushing my right leg with my right hand and my first shot with a wedge during practice was a center strike and straight. A side note, before if i didn’t sh…k i was pulling my shots left. A question, i was pulling my drives also, sometimes a duck hook, would this method of brushing my right leg work with a driver also? Again, thank you for a great video, i’m 76 and never stop learning.
