Stop Unnecessary Services In Windows 10
Warning: You run this script at your own risk, I take no responsibility if you lose data or damage your computer.
Warning: Remember to backup data and create system restore point before continuing.
If you like to tweak windows 10 services then this script can help do it all in one go. Its based on black viper services tweaks. This script is very easy to use and disables all unnecessary services, just make sure you are not using the services you stop and disable otherwise your hardware will not work.
This script is not a necessity to use windows 10. But it is a option that a lot of people like to do to stop windows services running that are not necessary.

Yeah try in VM and your see that it works well. It tells you the changes it will make before you run it.

Thanks for this guide. Glad black viper have doing this for decades. I remember him from the xp day when I'm trying to push my computer limits even more. Now I need to do this before next step changing out my windows 10 computer :)

Hi Brian, I think it would be good to show what the results are with the various choices. Maybe some sort of benchmark for default, safe, and then, tweaked? Otherwise, people just happening by wouldn't have a clue "why" anyone would do this and possibly miss-out on improving their system's performance. Cheers!

Hey there mate! First of all, thanks for this informative video. I tried running the script but it crashes before I can catch what the error is all about. The GUI interface doesn't even launch or anything. Am I missing something? Ran as an admin and everything, but nothing. Could it be that my system is in French? I bought this Win10 PC in France though. But I noticed that it's bilingual really. I dunno x_x Any thoughts?

one step closer to liking windows 10 ! LOL i guess its the same black viper from windows xp days, sure looks like it. nice ! i follow allot of other guides on tweaking windows 10 and always seem to cause more harm than good. this should do the trick ! windows 10 is slowly improving ...

I am having a Lenovo V520 desktop with i7-7700 processor, it is very slow at the time of starting programs and whenever I check the task manager Service Delivery Host is using up my power...is there any solution to this as there are some more services causing this problem

Viral 10Min the WLAN service was disabled. You just have to set it to Automatic and then start it.

it's tweaked for all time. Once they are disabled they stay disabled on reboot. You can enable them manually in services if any are causing a problem with anything else you are doing.

Hey Britec09 can you help me out? I have two questions. I am on an alienware laptop trying to get some extra cpu availability out of this script. 1) I enabled the option to tweak laptops in the options menu but it said that was "**NOT RECOMMENDED**". Why is that? 2) I got this message when trying to run the tweaked script. Is it still OK or will this fuck my shit up? "You are running this script on 1909... --Build Requirements-- Min Version: Creators Update (1703) Max Version: April 2018 Update (1803) Do you still want to run this script? YES NO"

Did anyone find out how to disable msmpeng.exe(windefend) service on the new update 1903? I cant disable it, I tried everything, changed permissions etc.

prees windows key and R type msconfig and hit enter then go to services and find windefender uncheck it appy and restart computer. done

By running this script, you show absolutely and full trust in the people that have made it. You show that you are absolutely sure that they have only pure motives behind making it. If they had not, they might have created a secret backdoor to your system, perhaps logging every key stroke you will make in the future.

You probably already have NSA backdoors in the kernel if you run Windows 10, as Microsoft works with NSA and CIA. To be honest i rather trust random coders from the github than Microsoft. The script is open source and you can verify everything yourself, Microsoft's software is NOT open source.

Black Viper has been around very long time, and known for his good help on this issue. As this script is also open, a lot of hard core computer users, anti security people would have gone out with it if black viper did funny stuff, as it is an open script. Black Viper is like a saint on this subject, free of charge only ask for donation. He have done a really good job for decades for the hole pc community, he's no new kids on the block. But you have a point with your arguments, except black viper is a old known work horse on this matters.
