It's a bit overcooked. It may have a burnt taste or smell to it. We normally stop when it's golden in colour.

Ghee is great my parents use it for basically everything as a replacement of oil and it has a very distinct smell and taste that I love

You should use kerrygold butter it's way more better because it can be grass-fed this is why grass-fed butter can make it a better version of ghee

The commercial ghee we have here taste and smells a lot like fatty cow meat instead or brown butter

Guga actually did this experiment where he cooked steak with Ghee (Clarified Butter) and he basted it with garlic & thyme. He said, it tasted heavenly. You should try too.

Honestly making ghee from butter is not the best as butter in the market has so much preservatives so instead make ghee from milk, although it will take much longer but its best for your body. Love from India

As a Malayali, I'll stick with coconut oil for cooking. If I don't have coconut oil, I like using peanut oil and sesame oil.

Mustard oil is also a better option if you don't want to use that unhealthy vegetable oil. It also has the same smoking as ghee.
