Yess the most sensible purchase is the one you love!! I've learned that there are very few things I'm willing to be uncomfortable for, and those less comfortable things tend to get worn less and less until I forget about them. If I'm doubting how comfortable a shoe is, they get returned! A Jimmy Choo SA once tried to push these heels even when I said they were too narrow for my wide feet (beauty is pain blah blah), and I'm like 'no girl, nerve damage isn't worth it'💔👠Also if I'm playing with a new style, I try to thrift it first before I spend the big bucks 😊

100% agree with the first one! Buy what you love not what people tell you to buy on KZfaq! Not everyone needs a black classic flap! If pink is your color get that as that’s what you will love! The classics example was a great one

Agreed on the buy what you love! I’ve taken to buying 2-3 colors in styles that I love and know work for me, because they get more regular use. I used to think I need to have a “curated” collection with loads of different styles, but most just sat untouched.

Ooooh how often I shop something, just to shop (especially when I visit an outlet). But vloging actually helped me with that: when I make a video about an outlet trip, it wasn't a "wasted trip", even if I don't buy anything, cause I got footage 😏

I agree with your rules especially your point about heels , i rarely wear them anymore, life is too short to be in pain ! Id rather dress up a look with statement jewellery and make up . I only buy 1 or 2 designer bags a year so tend to stick to the classics ( which i do happen to love ) and i buy trendy bags on the high street - so i guess that’s my rule .

I've done all of these... so awesome advice I'd say :) love the ysl pouch though. I'd use it as a passport/boarding plane holder.

I go by wear, carry what you like. No matter the season. I like and appreciate high heels, but not for me as well. I spend $ on my Gucci princetown slides collection. They are comfy for me. I will check out your flats, I am always on the look out for comfy shoes.

Hi! I agree 100%. I buy what I like whether it’s trendy or not. I used my Coach brown and gold patchwork bag the other day. It’s in perfect condition. It’s about 10 or more years old. I like it, I wore it. Your rule #2. My highest price point bags are black. I did throw in a tan puzzle recently but that goes with everything too. I’m eyeing LV sneakers in blue but I’m not sure if I want to walk on my money. They can get ruined so easily. #3 so hard to do because there will always be something you will love more. These rules are so true I have learnt from not following all of them ! First i bought a red bag because who doesn’t want a red bag 🤦🏼‍♀️ never reached for it so sold ! I bought some heeled lv boots nearly a year ago wore them twice so far should’ve bought flat ones 🤦🏼‍♀️ got distracted with so many slg’s while saving for a bag and sold so many of them too ! Let’s hope I’ve now learnt to follow these rules ! ❤

LOL I got a faux GG belt because why not. I also have a real one because they are indeed perennial :P Bags, I buy what colour I like and I like colour. I know my wardrobe is in a limited palette but all the colours I love work together so I know I can have what I like. But if you aren't at that point, then yes its a dangerous thing color bags... I spend on daily shoes because my feet are precious to me and life is too short to wear uncomfortable shoes. Always spend the cash on what you regularly use. And yes, only buy exactly what you want, because we just need to admit to ourselves we wont use the second best item.

Great tips to follow, I think these can apply to everything. I’m guilty of buying things sometimes to not come home empty handed. 🫣 Recently bought some boots and purchased 4 of them before I bought the ones I really love, which were a bit more expensive. I’m learning as well to buy what I love and will use more often. I think sometimes we all get caught up into the hype as KZfaqrs and purchase things we don’t love and even really want! 🫣
