It’s an insane description because it completely ignores the aspect of self sacrifice and the moment of doubt and the whole climax of the story I’m not a Christian but that’s my understanding. I know there’s the whole “god gave his only son” but really he could have given like 10 or 20 sons, there’s no limit. What Jesus did in life and the sharing of man’s suffering is what’s supposed to be inspiring. Not god murking his son

The analogy doesn't work because 1. Christ is reportedly not just the Son of God but Father, Son and Holy Spirit, God in three persons, "made flesh". 2. He not only is sacrificed but comes back to life. 3. It is not done under duress but done willingly.
