They are no substitute for a poor stage set but I use feedback suppressors on my stage monitors.

Hey man... thank you for this great video! One question. What would you recommend for a congregation type setting? In our Hall, we have like 15 ceiling mounted speakers. Most of the time, there's no issues, but for some members, when they comment, instant feedback. We have to lower the volume pretty much all the way down making it hard to even hear their comment. Something about their voice tone or frequency that causes feedback, I don't know. Most of the time, it happens with the soft-spoken members. Anyway, we're using a TOA 900 series amplifier for the volume control. We're using the Shure SM58 wireless mics with a Shure BLX4R receiver. What would you recommend we do to help avoid that feedback?

Hey thanks for the kind words. Ceiling mounted speakers are a nightmare. You can't really break physics so the mic is going to feed back at a certain point, that point will come sooner when the mic is in front of the speakers. You can encourage your members to hold the mic as close to their mouth as possible, rest it on their chin. Make sure you're not going crazy with EQ, a few gentle cuts of 3- 6db at the most. Avoid compression. Hope that helps

The question here is: which EQ will you cut: the EQ of each Micro channel or the EQ of the Master Output?

Thank you for your video.We use sennheiser G4 wireless for singer mostly singers love to hold microphone to the stage monitor.Could you please give me some recomends about stage monitor level.Because we give the monitor as they like it cause feedback,what level should be in the stage monitor?

It's all about communication. You can only turn it up so loud. Find the maximum volume before soundcheck and let them know when they're pushing that limit. Explain how feedback world and that if they point their mic at the monitor it will feed back and you'll need to turn it down. Other than that there's not much more you can do.
