Grocery stores used to give out those S&H green stamps. There were catalogs/stores with all sorts of merchandise, small appliances, dishes etc. that you could get just by redeeming the stamps.

I feel for Ashley, when it is extremely cold or damp Wade's mother ,with Wade's always get so excited and she knows so much. I still feel sad for the renters who lose their storage units or the abandoned homes.

Those blue dishes were sold by Sears in the early 70's. I think they were called a Currier and Ives set. That was our first set of dishes when we got married.

These belongings were packed with love. It shows that either the person cared about their belongings or they cared about the owner.

Back in the '70s and 80s I had a big garden and I would can about 80 quarts of green beans. Then I would buy pears and tomatoes from Farmers and can those. I was so proud of my work and there was such great satisfaction that I would leave them out on the countertops for several days just to admire.

I was most happy seeing the green stamp books, so many childhood memories...

Ashley, those vintage bubble lights for the Christmas Trees are very sought after. I remember trying to find them back in the 80's cuz my husband wanted some for nostalgic reasons as he grew up with them. I never did find any.

Those are S&Hgreen stamps, you would get them when you bought groceries at Kroger or A&P, then could redeem them for household or gift items, either by a mailed order form or at a redemption center, these are from the late sixties or early 70s

H&S stamps were given to you as a customer for amount purchased and could be traded for different kinds of things. I have gotten sets of dinner wear, Pans and just all kinds of things. Just a way to get back. My Mom collected them when I was a kid and when I was a young married I still could get them and it was a nice little deal to get something special. Many stores and pharmacies gas stations had them. I collected them all. We are talking back in the early 50's into the 70's or later. Sometimes I let the kids have them to get something they wanted in the catalog.

This is an absolute gold mine. Thousands in just one drawer alone let alone all the vintage items you are finding still boxed up. Heck one Apple pin you found is $40-$50 on its own. Couldn't have happened to two better people! Congrats!

The things you show are from my adulthood. I can't watch you anymore, because I try to convince myself, I'm not OLD, yet in your videos, you say 'old' hundreds of times! Hundreds! I know the stuff is old, and I know I'm old... but historical, vintage,there are many words that mean old. History explains why people save the things you don't see reason for. Anyone who lived through a depression, having limits to sugar, stamps, straws,etc.saved what they could. the s&h green stamps were essential. you uncovered enough for a good housekeeping mattress and more.

Those Allegro speakers are fantastic. Hook them up to the turntable from last night. That is the sound set-up my husband and I gifted each other when we got married in 1976. It was state of the art.

The S and W stamps used to be where you could turn them in for dishes and other kitchen things. You got stamps when you bought groceries. Got our first set of dished with the stamps in 1974. But I remember using them with my Mom in the 60’s. The stuff in the desk is great for Junk Journals. Lots of craft people would love to have the receipts, envelopes, photos, envelopes etc..

The Native American frames print is gorgeous. The table linens are amazing. This locker is full of amazing things. If you ever need help identifying stuff, I used to sell antiques! I’m happy to help a treasurer hunter!

You know those beautiful old tins are actually worth something. As are the old patterns and trimmings.

My question is why do you open up all that stuff and just leave it sitting out it’s a potential to knock it over and then have to pick it all up and make a mess when you can just put it back in its box and put it in the truck instead of leaving it on your table in the way just asking

S&H Green Stamps = Sperry and Hutchinson. You would buy groceries and get the stamps for your purchases. Then redeem thr stamps you paste in a book for furniture (smaller items like plant stands, pictures in a frame, kitchen gadgets, dishes, etc). Great find with the furniture, that mixer, the record player and I love the old Earth Day tshirts.

The S & H Green Stamps were given out by a grocery store called Piggly Wiggly…there may have been other grocers to participate. You got x amount of stamps depending on how much you spent. You filled up the books then redeemed them for products out of a catalog. My grandparents always collected and in the summer if I I helped glue the stamps, I was allowed to shop from the catalog. Wonderful memories!

They used to have those and you got them when you bought either groceries or things at different stores you save them and bought things out of an s&h catalog. I'm 78 and we my brother and I used to put them in the books for mom. She saved them up and got household items and many other things. They have to be all of maybe between 60 and 70 years old.

Awesome! Love the mid-century lockers!! We had that Sunbeam mixer when I was a kid, it was awesome. I think you have more than 1K of furniture for sure! That one with the record player that pulls out is worth quite a bit I am sure. I have been shopping for vintage furniture and something like that seems like it would go for over 1k. wow we used to have those Green Shield Stamps here in the UK in the 70's, I used to be the one to have the job of sticking the stamps in the books when my mum had been shopping. 😊

The rocks in the Native pouch as considered talsman. Each rock, mineral, or gem is considered blessed or good luck. Some peop!e would wear them around their necks, others would just carry it on them. Very good find!!

Those banana boxes are very sturdy & collectible. My parents had those exact 1950s/60s end tables in the 1960s and the blue & white Currier & Ives dishes. They are collectible. My Mom got a dish with every bank deposit. When banks had incentives to get people to deposit their $. The whole set of dishes would be some $. I can't believe they paid on unit for 17 years on it. If the unit is an average of $75 a month (average cost in 2005) for 17 years that is $66,000 dollars. The stamps books are grocery stamp books=$. They gave you stamps every time you bought at the grocery store. Once your book is full, you could get items or discounts on your next grocery bill. 1960s and 70s thing. The Brady Bunch had an episode where they saved up their grocery stamps to get their tv I believe. Red formica table and chairs is a good find. 1950s.$

That table and chairs is a easy thousand dollars . It's from the 50 to 60 s . Seen a red one sell In brand new condition for 2,500 with six chairs . Movie companies would also like it . I'd take it to my grave before I sold it for 400$ . But I do know you're more about the quick turnaround for the family which I definitely understand .

Dallasware is melmac our melamine dishes, they came out in the fifties and sixties. They're American made, near indestructible and very desirable to the mid century modern collectors today.

The S & H Green stamps were faithfully collected in the 60's. You looked in a catalog to redeem the stamps for items. The stamps were given at grocery stores and such. It was always fun to put the stamps in the books. You keep looking for money but you have money in all these wonderful things you have found.
