My name is my electronic/metal project, grew up in LA and knew him I go to the Rainbow one night and chill with him. When we finally decide to go to his pad, a homeless guy starts yelling out. I'm a native, this is normal, I ignore him. But Lemmy says Wait bloke. He knew the guy. Lemmy handed him 3 cigarettes, a hidden bottle of Jack, and 5 dollars and tells him Ask someone to buy you the beer and the coke so they wont throw you out again Lemmy had known that guy since he moved to LA. When Lemmy passed, I went to the guy and spent hours drinking and smoking weed and cigs remembering Lemmy. The guy had gone to Vietnam and came back messed up, and Lemmy was one of the few people that treated him decent. I saw him chat him up many times. The gent died about 9 months after Lemmy. It was surreal

Those jokes at the start are still ones you’d tell in a pub with your mates in Britain. Of course they’re funny anywhere else in the world, but Lem told em’ like an old boy propping up the bar in a pub you know in the UK. We all know a Lem over here, and we miss him like we knew him. RIP matey.

I got a job at KERRANG! in early '86 & the first concert I attended at Hammersmith Odeon, I went to get a drink at the bar backstage & there was Lemmy; sitting in utter fascination; watching the bartender do card tricks. In true Lemmy style, patted the barstool next to him & said, "Have a seat, love. You've got to see this sneaky bastard & his cards tricks. Cor, I dunno how he does it! What'll you have?" And the rest, as they say, is history. My night ended just like everyone else's who dared to drink with Lemmy: so drunk I could barely stagger to catch a taxi, then once I got home, alternating between praying for the room to stop spinning & swearing I'd never drink again as I bowed down before the porcelain God Earl. The next show I went to at Hammersmith Odeon, at the bar backstage, there sat Lemmy, watching the bartender do card tricks, just as amazed as the last time, just as insistent I pull up a seat, watch this guy do card tricks, & have drink with him. How can you say "no" to Lemmy? You can't! But this time, & every subsequent time I watched the bartender do card tricks backstage at Hammersmith Odeon with Lemmy (& there were many times) I made a point of drinking a tall glass of water for every Jack & Coke I had, & never got as obliterated as I had that first time again. Ask anyone who ever sat down to drink with him, it only took one time trying to keep up with him to know...you couldn't. No one could! Not even Ozzy! He was a lovely man, a scholarship & a gentleman with great enthusiasm for life. But he just couldn't, for the life of him, figure out how the bartender always guessed his card correctly. 🤣 RIP, Lemmy! ❤️🚬🃏🥃🤘🏼

My British friend went to L.A. to see the sunset strip. In a bar he saw Lemmy playing pinball and was so excited to meet him he went up and said "Hi, I'm from England!". Without looking away from his game Lemmy said "who the fuck cares?". That's such a Lemmy response

Mötorhead was my first ever gig! 14 years old in 1980, sneaked out the house after feigning going to bed early, walked the 6 or so miles to town ( Leicester), watched the most amazing thing I had ever seen or heard. Ears ringing I negotiated swapping 10 smokes (John player blue) for a t shirt from the bloke selling them outside ( he had run out). Walked home playing air guitar and doing my best lemmy growl to get caught by my dad, grounded and severely admonished. Worth it.

Met him and shaked his hand once, it was 2002 at Rainbow bar and grill. He was playing poker and he gave me his attention for almost 3 seconds. I was 22 and I almost lost my mind.

I remember playing pinball with Lemmy at the Caster holiday village back in the 80’s

St. Moritz was where ALL of Motorhead used to hang, I believe. In 1989, I got to meet Lemmy AND Fast Eddie Clarke there at the same time (long AFTER he'd been in Motorhead of course, but they still hung out together, obviously). Was so excited to be able to talk to them, I never asked for an autograph!! Downright silly...

I shot a Motorhead concert back in 2008, something like that. We were shooting a backstage fan meet and greet, and in walk Motorhead. Lemmy looks at me and says "Alright?", and goes and sits down. Nothing ground-breaking there, but I remember his arms looked very smooth and he smelt of Johnson's baby powder.
