Exactly what this man said is how I've always felt about cops. I know they (Law enforcement) are held to a much higher standard than any other professional except for maybe some sort of religious leader like a priest or pastor... but they are still humans. Humans that have bad days, humans that get pushed to the edge. There will always be a police officer that cracks... but for every police officer that cracks there are hundreds... maybe thousands of police that DON'T crack, under circumstances any one of us would lose our cool almost immediately. The thing that Brandon stated that I couldn't agree with more... that interactions never have to do with race, they have to do with behaviors. It made me think... every person that was either injured, beaten or were sadly killed could have gone a completely different direction, and I'm sure all of them would be alive today... if they just cooperated, instead of resisting and fighting back. The cop wants to serve and protect, but they would also like to go home to their spouse and children if they have them. When things get dicey, they are wise to act and react in such a way that won't get themselves or their fellow police force hurt or killed. They don't wake up looking to kill someone, many seldom discharge their firearms. If they do, its because they are trying not to die in a very bad situation brought on by the person putting the cops in that situation.
