I think it might be a good idea when you are upset, even if you know it's going to pass quickly, to vocalize your feelings to your friends/family. You could just quickly say "I'm in a bad/sad/weird mood right now" but explain that you don't want to dwell on it, just let them know so they aren't wondering what's going on with you. I think it's healthier to share how you feel rather than keeping it all in!

omg, Mark, I had a breaking point in NYC the first time I went to! I had been away from home for 6 weeks living out of a suitcase and was ready to go home.
