Do you have any problems with stored figures warping? I had them stored this way for a while, then when I went to get some for some photo shoots, some of the legs were warped/bowed inward/outward. This happens especially with thinner female figures and, for whatever reason, the bigger Mattel WWE figures. Lesser extent with other lines.
@theplasticbarbarian3480
@theplasticbarbarian3480 Жыл бұрын
I have not had that problem. But I could see it happening. One solution could be to use bubble wrap between layers. Or foam padding. And of course keeping the thinner bodies at the top.

Excellent question. As you can see most of my figures are in the 7” scale range. I like the 6x9 bags as it gives you a little extra space and makes getting them in the bag easier. You have any suggestions for storing large quantities of MOC figurines without messing up cards and blister?
@theplasticbarbarian3480
@theplasticbarbarian3480 2 жыл бұрын
Best I ever came up with was storing them in a tote similar to this. To keep the blister pristine maybe wrap in plain brown paper or tissue paper. Thin bubble or foam wrap also works but gets pricey. The problem is the blisters themselves tend to go bad over time. Glue loosens up etc. which is just one more reason I tend to open all mine now.

@Dennis Livengood Jr around here people also end up storing in attics or basements that can have serious temperature changes. You may have good luck with regular ziplocks but I prefer not to take the chance. Especially when the bags are not significantly more expensive than regular polyethylene bags. Worth the investment imo. 👍

Was looking for advise about how to store my Masters of the Universe Classics figures. Glad I came across your video. Wondered about clear plastic and sun exposure. I put my Masters of the Universe Vintage collection in Ziplock bags a few years ago. They're stored in my mom's basement. Guess I know what I'm doing next visit. Question. I stored the minicomics in with the Vintage figures. Good? Bad? Thoughts? Also: what about quantity per bin? I saw that you had a lot in each. Any concerns with the weight of the Classics figures pressing on the bottom ones over time? What about storing them standing up? I've gotten some Classics still in the package with bent weapons because of they were stored. Thanks!
@theplasticbarbarian3480
@theplasticbarbarian3480 2 жыл бұрын
Great questions. Sorry I just noticed this comment. Mini comics: If you’re going to store the comic in with the figure I would have the comic in a smaller bag. I would also worry about the comic getting warped or bent in with the figure. I store my comic separately. Weight: if this is a concern it could be easily solved by adding a layer or 2 of bubble wrap between figure layers. Action figure lasagna. 😂 I personally wouldn’t store them standing as I feel like that could create different issues with weight distribution. I hope that helps. Thanks for stopping by. I should probably do an updated video.

@theplasticbarbarian3480

I just placed an order on Clearbags just now, thank you so much for sharing this information. But I have to say, and I hope I'm wrong and I hope you are aware, that the order number (ZC58) on your bag I believe is not polyethlene. @theplasticbarbarian3480
@theplasticbarbarian3480 4 жыл бұрын
You're welcome. Thanks for watching. I'll have to look at that again. Correct the ZC58 are not polyethylene, they are acid free polypro. Which is what you want. LDPE is a little cheaper, and not quite as clear, but is also acid free so should work just fine for you.
