I just bought one of these for my 88-year old mother, who likes to do her crossword puzzles in her glider, which is shot. Thank goodness I found you! Now I can talk her through it easily (I'm in Oregon, she's in Texas) because of how easy you made it. Thank you for taking the time do this.

Nah I don't think so. It is pretty comfortable, but also you can add another cushion or get a thicker one. The wood seems to flex so the seat does not feel hard and rigid. Its a good glider. hope that helps your decision

I have the same glider, if you plan on using it (which iam sure you are) you may want to change out the suck ass bearings they use for some skateboard precisions just fixed my second one both work great now hopefully for years and not just months

just look up skateboard bearings thats what i used they're cheaper and reliable

oh and since Ive replaced them no more grease problems either - they work great, its a little bit of work but worth it, ill post a link to the conversion site that I seen

Cool video!! I've been thinking about getting one of these to go in my bedroom, but I wonder how comfortable these are for sitting in for a long period time, like when reading? Aren't these made for women who are generally shorter than men, or does that matter?
