I'm one of the very few who prefers the mcfarlane one, a lot more to it and very reasonable price, price point should be $40+ imo.

Oh yeah and the storm version the paint rubs off to easily on the spikes I had to repaint with a special paint cause most paints won't work on the rubber oh yeah and all the spikes are rubber

The MK2 looks like a badass barbarian! And that's what comes to your mind when you say Shao Kahn, I bought the bloody version because there is no clean version available and it seems that it will never be another chance to get an MK2 shao Kahn, also storm collectibles are preparing the mk9 shao kahn and will be amazing BUT this MK2 one will remain unique!!!

I think McFarland Shao Kahn is a little bit small. In 2 & 3, he’s noticibly bigger than normal characters. Storms looks almost too big, but storms looks like he’d def win n a fight. McFarland got cheap on us. Spend that extra plastic, I will pay off.

So far I only have the mortal kombat spawn figures. I’ve seen the McFarlane Shao Khan at my local toy store and man is it calling my name. It looks so good. I haven’t quite fallen down the rabbit hole of the McFarlane MK figs yet but I’m just about there 👀

All storm collectors look like ps3 game characters, over stretched wide and very unnatural, imo. Also it's OK, I'm a vanilla poser by heart, not gifted like others.

Love that classic helmet especially with that mk11 default skin in the game. Maybe mcfarlane can do the battle regalia skin with the classic helmet and perhaps with a translucent green wrath hammer? Since they do alot of variants anyway.

The real Shao Kahn hit the nail on the head there on that intro 😂😂😂 (they really did Shao Kahn dirty in MK 11 along with others like Sindel (especially), Noob Saibot, Skarlet, ect....). I personally prefer storm collectibles cause it's got everything I've always wanted as an MK fan with figures with the design and the awesome accessories that come with it and the bios on the box just show how much love they have for the franchise. Plus, Storm collectibles seems to be wanting to do every version of Mortal Kombat, while McFarlane seems to only have the rights to do MK 11 characters. Also the McFarlane line just does way too many Spawn figures and too many lazy repaints of figures for MK (honestly feels like he doesn't really want to do the MK line and only is because of the deal to get Spawn in MK 11). The Storm collectibles Shao Kahn is definitely the best and is definitely my favorite out of the line so far (can't wait for Kitana, Mileena, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, and Shang Tsung figures they've shown/teased to finally come out).

I do like the the x belt thing on the chest of the storm Shao kahn! The gold Shao Kahn is so badass too. I do appreciate the silver Shao Kahn McFarland I got this week though.

When I bought Motaro I liked how he fit in scale wise with my Mcfarlane MK so I had just enough $$ to either get a used loose Shao Kahn or Brand new Goro! So I went with a Goro! Hoping for a Sheeva & Kitaro one day!!🤞🤞

I love the detail in McFarlane's but I like the size of Storm Collectibles. I picked up McFarlane's version to a Warlord for my Mythic Legions shelf.

I like the McFarlane figs more. I got Goro and Motaro tho from Storm. Too many quality issues with Storm for me. Does anyone even have an original Raiden with intact belt? Lol. Also way......... too much $500 for a figure is stupid

If more of the McFarlane MK figures scaled with legends and such I'd buy more. Only got Spawn and Shao Kahn and I just got Kahn. They seemed like they'd scale well with 6in figures.

I’m not one to spend a lot of money on my action figures. I have paid twice the price for a figure I missed upon release but that has never exceeded $40. I think price is a big deal when it comes to collecting figure series. I might impulse buy a $20 figure but there is no way I would impulse buy a $100 figure. I think McFarlane’s Khan is way better because of the limitations of the production costs, not in spite of them. Limitation breeds creative solutions.

Great comparison! I was hoping someone would show these side by side. Storm Collectibles Shao Kahn is absolutely a grail of mine. Still can't believe I didn't just pick it up when BBTS still had it. I actually saw the McFarlane one in my local Target the other day and decided to pass. I'm just holding out hope that Storm either does another version of Shao Kahn or they reissue this one at some point since they were asking on Twitter early last year if people wanted to see anything come back into the line.

Man, I keep hoping to land a storm copy of him. Bloody or not. I learned about Storm Collectibles too late to preorder him. Wish they’d put out another but his appearance hasn’t really changed much up until recently, so they probably can’t justify it much with another version of the figure. Just got the McFarlane figure recently, it looks alright but doesn’t feel like a fair comparison after watching this 😆

The storm is much better but the mcfarlane is one of the best mcfarlane MK figures
