After severe thunderstorms and possible tornadoes roared through Lansing Monday night and early Tuesday morning, The Lansing Journal conducted a spontaneous tour of local damage. This footage was shot at the south edge of Lan-Oak Park, along 180th Street.

Yep, it was a rough one last night 😅 Riverwood was totally outta power from around 10pm until about 10:20am, so 12hrs of HOT MUGGY MARSH humidity 😰 Shingling flew off (like it always does🙄), and a couple broken glass doors.. Also River's Edge along the river has many trees down, but them boys just played around the new obstacles 😏 Thank God we made it tho! 🙌🏾 props to LPD for sliding thru w/ the high beams and checkin on the parking lots 🤙🏾 We might need LFD to come reset the elevators tho, fyi.

@TikiChld97 we don't have confirmation that any tornadoes touched down in Lansing, though some reports say up to 10 were sighted "in the area." We are waiting to hear from Lansing Public Works about the extent of the damage, and then we plan to publish a story and photos. This video will be included in the story too.
