Dear Sir I was using Microdrainage, where I am pleased to SSA software to introduce it to my clients and the local authority for planning approval. I have got the following question, can you send me relevant tutorials or answer, please. 1. Model foul flows using discharge units to BS EN 752. is there any example available please 2. Produce Greenfield rate calculations using IH124 method. 3. Allow the application of climate change factors to rainfall data. Typically 30%. Where and how can I apply climate change please. I am looking for a response from you soon, please. Thanks for your taking time. Kind regards Sherwan Mohammed

Very clear explanation...My only question is where do yo input the rainfall intensity?
@samboslice32305 жыл бұрын
Rainfall intensity would be based on the IDF curve he loaded in for the area in question (Galway I think it was). IDF stands for Intensity Duration Frequency and differs from area to area.

Trying searching Google for an IDF Curve database for your region. In UK it would be the Environment Agency or MET office etc.

This! The rainfall comes in with the curve, you don't have to manually input it.

I think the reason why you got 500m instead of 50m is because the elements were already created, if you create new elements they should have a 50m distance.

Why are the junctions manholes and not inlets?
@CADandStuff5 жыл бұрын
That’s just the way I did it in the video. Perhaps it’s an oversimplification to show only manholes, but that suited the site layout I was working with. Branch connections can also be done if you need them.

I know this video has been out for some time. I noticed that you imported an IDF file for Galway. Is there a site we can go to, to purchase or download IDF files for the UK?

Good question. I “inherited” that IDF file from a previous colleague. I’m not sure what the precise origins of it are.

Hi Dave, I had the same question, like yours, have you find out about IDF file, please? if not what do you use instead of IDF, please? Many thanks
@CADandStuff3 жыл бұрын
Hi. I think those questions are best addressed to the vendors of SSA, Autodesk. They will provide technical support for their software. I do not have examples or tutorials to answer those queries.

Cant we create our own IDF curve?
@CADandStuff4 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can create your own. They vary by region, so you would have to have some statistical data to work from in your area. Some national weather services departments make IDF curves freely available online, so have a search.
