I came all the way from Cork for the match, and God am I glad I did!! What a match! And I must say, the Stormers fans are outstanding, just class all around. I had great craic despite being surrounded by them, and I can't tell you how many people fist bumped me or shook my hand with kind words after the match. Fabulous experience altogether!

Incredible fighting spirit by Munster. I think they have a lot of new fans here in SA. Well deserved. Stormers were lucky in that first half. Thank you to all the Munster fans for travelling over to our country. I hope you enjoyed your stay. Can't wait for the next season (hopefully my Sharks can be up there). Good luck to Ireland in the WC. The 23rd of September is going to be a cracking game.

Well said Justin. It was a cracking game. The Stormers were lucky in the first half but played some Rugby in the second half. Looking so forward to the WC and its such a treat to have the SA teams in the URC.

As a Stormers supported, I was disappointed, but wow, you have to respect Munster. To have won all these knockout games away from home, was simply amazing. Congratulations to Munster. Well-deserved winners.

What a game this was, absolutely brilliant to watch. Thought the Stormers looked a bit tired. As a Leinster fan I don't think I ever shouted so loud as when the ref blew the final whistle. What a game, what a performance! To beat Glasgow away, Leinster away and Stormers away, that's character defining. Can't wait for next season already!

Yeah man I was the same screaming at my tv.. only for the opposite team that beat us in the semis 😂😂 when does that happen haha.. but what a game, very good and these South African teams have been a god send. Absolutely beautiful rugby they r bring, amazing passionate fans and loads of drama.. I haven’t been this excited about club rugby in a long time, as a Leinster fan we have been at the top but missing trophies.. happy to see another Irish team get one, especially Munster. Back to being Munster and winning it in the most Munster fashion, love it!!

@@LeMerch agree 100%. The South Africans have certainly been an excellent addition to the URC. I think the Irish teams have the edge though, Munster beating Stormers twice in Capetown, Ulster beating Lions and Sharks, Connacht beating Lions and Leinster academy beating Lions. The South Africans have added so much to the competition, they have hugely upped the standard.

That had to be the most impressive Play off run I've seen in this league regardless of what name it carried. Glasgow Leinster Stormers all away is just nuts. If you asked anyone in the world if that was possible after a pretty average season from Munster id have bety house against them.........and would now be homeless. Congrats from Connacht, proud of ye

I'm delighted for Earls and O'mahony too as a Leinster fan. They have been such hugely important and impactful players for both Munster and Ireland and coming to the end of their careers they deserve this in their club careers. I really believe this is a phoenix rising from the ashes and Munster are being reborn again.

Cant express how nice it will be to have some silverware in the closet back in Munster. The monkey is finally off the back. Kudos to the South african teams. I was skeptical when they joined, but they have brought ao much to the URC turning it into one of the best leagues in the world. Also many thanks to our brothers from Leinster, Ulster and Connacht who supported us this final. The future remains bright for Irish rugby and may it get even brighter!

@@zombievikinggaming4258 tbh I think that's a bit insulting to Connacht, we beat them on the day, nobody said Glasgow collapsed, and they actually should have won their game. On one day anything can happen, it's tiny margins that decide these things, the small margins went Munster's way through the playoffs, and I'm delighted for them, but in the media there's way too many cheap shots at Ulster, who if Glasgow hadn't gotten a red would have ended with an undoubtedly better season than Munster. And showed up massively in the big games in Europe, hadn't enough for Leinster at full tilt, but gave it a great go. The four provinces can hold their heads high at the end of this season, a few small margins meant we lost in the semis, Leinster coughed up a European title, and Ulster went home at the quarters, but still a grand slam and a URC title is not a bad haul going into a RWC.

Amazing win! As a Leinsterman I was screaming for my countrymen in this one, and the last few performances of Crowley has to put him in the box seat as Sexton’s replacement. Such a calm and skilful performance! My man of the match, thought he was immense!! 🥳

Thanks for covering the URC all year too mate. Have loved the content and the fact that ypu enjoyed it so much. Super Rugby was so far ahead of everything for so long it genuinely feels like there's real level quality now in NH comps. Prem and Top 14 are good but lacking the culture clash of the URC that make it stand out

Life long munster fan here. I just cant believe how munster are playing. Seeing the same players who played horrendous rugby under van graan for 5 years transform into a team that plays such exciting rugby. I think they threw more offloads, tip on passes, pull back plays then we have in entire seasons gone by. So proud

Given the hangover from the uninspired '21-'22 coaching team and the bedding -in of the Rowntree coaching team, Munster have had an astonishing season. Particularly gratifying is the trust that has been given to younger players - something vanGraan seemed incapable of.

Wonderful to see the true rugby supporters from SA dominating the SA contributions, such a lovely change from the usual toxic bunch we get during the year-thank you all for your gracious comments :) And thank your teams for making URC probably the 2nd-best rugby league in the world, behind only the Top-14. What a performance for Munster, that really wasn't as close as the scoreline suggested. The workrate was insane from everyone. I'm not a Murray fan by any means but those kicks were incredible, really smothered them. Munster have found that fighting spirit now something we haven't had as a team in years. So happy to see that performance can't wait to see how well we improve next year.

Has anyone won the knockout stages with three away wins before? Very well done Munster from an Edinburgh supporter. Fantastic support from Cape Town. Pity about the pitch. Watched the Gallagher final earlier but thought this was more intense. Well done to both teams for putting on a show. Think Roos is a shoe in for the Boks in the World Cup.

I might be wrong, but think it only went to the quarter final format when the South African teams joined last year, so Munster would have been the first to win the 3 knockout games away from home. I imagine the 2 in a row must have been done before when it was just semis. I think Scarlets did it?

@@drdecco1 to be fair to him, it was shown that he did put his hand up, but JGP didn't give it back to him, so while I do think Leinster botched that call, it actually wasn't Ross's fault, although it wasn't obvious at the time. I think Ross will wear the 10 jersey into next year's six nations, then after that I think Jack will take over, while he's had a great few weeks, he's been inconsistent at times, so in time he'll grow into being the main man, which bodes very well for Munster going forward.

6 unbeaten away wins in a row to finish the hard way. Beaten the top teams, one draw. Two months ago, worried about losing European championship spot for next year. Three trips to South Africa. Now win down in South Africa in the final. Four games in SA in two months. One loss, one draw against the sharks and two wins against the Stormers.

Heartbroken. Munster shut us down and didn’t let us play at all. Well done to them. Libbok wasn’t on form, however we wouldn’t be in the final without him. Stormers need to figure out how to play when Libbok isn’t his usual world class. Not his fault. Very stark when he isn’t firing though which is a problem. Willemse too. The Stormers never looked dangerous in phase play. They seemed to try to live off our mistakes. Munster looked much the better team throughout. Still think Coombes try was a try but can see where the ref and TMO were coming from. I feel for the Stormers fans! There's nothing worse than leaving a final not having fired a shot, and i know that as a Munster fan!

I have to say that I did not see this coming at all. My parents are in Japan visiting us currently and we watched it delayed. My dad is still in shock from how the season turned out. Great match and a tense finish. The travel aspect of the South African teams aside, I think they have been a great addition to the league. Looking forward to the rivalries developing more over the coming years

As a Leinster man, im so happy for munster. I was like a mad man screaming when munster got the last try and, when the ref blew the whistle. Great channel and content. Fantastic comments below where rugby is bringing people together where Governments try to divide us. What a fantastic end to the Munster season, a few short weeks ago you simply could not see this happening. SA is a great place to visit, no time difference, great people (although male rugby fans are mostly XL, XXL, XXXL 🤣) great food, great wine and the Country is beautiful. RWC will be great, I hope there aren't too many injuries after our Ire v SA encounter. Eng, Arg and Aus have a stroll in the park!!!!

Munster far the better side on the day, and deserving of their victory. 2 disallowed trys & 3 scored compared to 2 trys scored. It's a full credit to the Coaching Staff aswell as the players for what has been 4 Away wins on the bounce for us. Just my 2 cents, I really think the Stormers picked the wrong option going for the maul at the last line out. With Munster a man down in the back line. They should have trusted their backline to deliver.

Absolutely excellent post game review TC ~ well done. Great stuff for crawling out of bed to facilitate! Yes, this was tough but GREAT. The Munster Guyz came and did themselves proud to their everlasting credit, as did the ‘Red Army’ coming all the way down here in loyal support. As their Coach rightfully said ‘emotional stuff’…!! Then there was the pitch breaking up : before the Game that was already long gone apparant. NOT doing the Stormers any favours, NOT!! And in split second performance Game making (OR breaking!) requirements, that’s really REALLY SHITE! Anyway, NO NADA excuses : Munster stuck to their guns, and grabbed it ~ HELLUVA show: The 50k Stormers support Crowd went quiet…And tonight a lot of frosties and mooi Red Wine, from the most angelic Cape Winelands, will flow grandly in commiseration… Ultimately the URC wins, in fact it scores BIG! The Munster Coach nailed it spot on, when he underlined the ZA Teams’ entry into the contest, was a master move. Thus, all round, what a helluva show…👊🔥⁉️🥂 Thank you kindly again Mark TC: EXCELLENT! Job well done…!!

That was some game. Huge battle between the two teams. I had a feeling that Munster would do it. Both teams were very even in general but I felt that Munster played a smarter game. Congratulations to both teams for a great game. Looking forward to seeing Steve Kitshoff in Ulster next season..... Is just me or does anyone else think if you painted him green, he'd be the spitting image of Shrek? 🙂

Great game. Watching that first half it looked like they were still celebrating the Munster win over Leinster. They turned up for the 2nd half but the Munster defence was huge. Great converted try from Munster at the key stage in the game. Stormers underestimated the opposition for 40 minutes.

I was in the Aviva on the same night before the game. Stormers were still playing connacht. Some arrogant leinster fans were loud organising where in the stadium they go and pre drinks for tonight game in Dublin. I was getting chips and both another munster fan and I turned up our eyes at their arrogance. Never count your chickens before they hatch. All I wanted was a competitive game by both teams and that what we got.

As a Stormers supporter I'm not quite happy...lol...but kudo's to Munster on the win. I think a lot of teams can learn from them on how to get the job done away from home, weekend after weekend. That takes some doing and I have loads of respect for that.
