I too had fits of great depression for years even though I was born again. Until one particular day, I was doing some dusting and I felt this familiar heaviness on my shoulders and I said out loud, " Oh no", cause I knew I would suffer with it for days. Well as soon as I felt it and after saying those words, I found myself quietly at first saying " I have the joy of the Lord", then I said it a little louder but the third time I said it really loud and lifted my head up and felt that dark heaviness lift from my shoulders and it has never come back since. I believe that was an evil spirit and by saying God's words it had to leave. We, who know the Lord and know His word have great protection from the enemy of our salvation. I have many times been rescued from situations just by calling out His Name. I WISH EVERYONE IN THIS WHOLE WORLD COULD KNOW JESUS.

I was set free after 30 years of feeling guilty for not giving my kids what I thought was best. But God delivered me from that 9/16/22! GONE! Instantly! yes change me LORD! My favorite line from her book about Power of Praying Parent: Let them be REPULSED by ANYTHING that is NOT of you! It hasn't worked yet... but God's perfect timing. Another more recent prayer I heard that I now pray, that is NOT easy, "Lord your WILL be done WHATEVER IT TAKES" to bring them back to you! 😬

I purchased the Praying Wife because my husband turned into a raging person after pain meds were given to him before and after surgery. He chose to end our marriage 12/28/1994. I learned later that he had been unfaithful. So the Lord used His Word to heal my broken heart

Amen! It can happen! All our anxiety and trauma can be healed in an instant. My severe anxiety was cured! Removed from me all together and for the same reason that I needed to forgive and God made it possible and lifted me up and opened up my heart to see clearly. He humbled me and took me and gave me a new clean heart that can not be shaken. I do not even get upset with other drivers on the road when they cut me off or honk at me etc. The anger and the fear is gone.

Exactly, if we know the Lord we have the Holy Spirit. I am not afraid of the Holy Spirit but I haven't always understood that He lives within me until more recently. Understand that sometimes the Holy Spirit is NOT a gentleman. He can come upon you when you are not even asking. God can do what He wants, when He wants, and however He wants to do it. I was saved in the middle of a bar and filled with the Holy Spirit at that moment. Nobody praying over me and didn’t even hang out with church people. I left that life, served God, and have never looked back.

Stormie, thank you. I have a friend who has been dealing with depression since she was 7. She was saved as a Baptist, but the didn't teach her, She went to other churches and it was the same thing. Then she started attending a Catholic church. There are some things about that that bother me, BUT if she's getting fed and that's where God is leading her, then praise the Lord. Right around when the Pandemic started she started purchasing Stormie Omartian books. Upon hearing your testimony I know why. The Lord is using you to reach her, and I think He has. Not too long ago some people made accusations against their priest of a sexual nature. People got together for prayer. She had a vision of the church laying in rubble. She tried telling some of the people, including one of the deacons and they told her "Satan's always after us," and basically blew her off. When her diocease and the regional law enforcement cleared the priest he came back and she had the same vision, so she shared it with him. She also noticed that some of the people left the church because he was back. Recently she had another vision, one of an oppressive darkness. I told her she has to warn the people. She has grown a lot over the 20 + years I've known her. Your books and God's grace have made a great impact on her life. Pray for my friend. I don't want to list her name because this is social media and others don't have that right. You have the essential points and if you go to the Lord in prayer He'll know who you are talking about. The verse she mentions in Joshua is always quoted but only in part. People never finish to the next verse which comes with conditions… “I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU...” Joshua 1:5-7 “Just as I was with Moshe, so I will be with you. I will neither fail you nor abandon you. 6 “Be strong, be bold; for you will cause this people to inherit the land I swore to their fathers I would give them. 7 ONLY be strong and very bold in TAKING CARE TO FOLLOW ALL the Torah which Moshe my servant ordered you to follow; do not turn from it either to the right or to the left; THEN you will succeed wherever you go. 8 Yes, keep this book of the Torah on your lips, and meditate on it day and night, so that you will take care to act according to everything written in it. In the 80s I had Stormie’s exercise album. It was a good workout. By the end of side one I was pretty tired and I remember her saying “Now that you’ve warmed up on side one..” Wait, that was just a warm up!? I don’t think I ever got to side two! I was a big fan of the Omartians, Second Chapter of Acts, Keith Green, and The Archers.

I read herbook many years ago..first years of marriage

Steve Martin said in his biography they dated before she "became religious". Seemed cynical and skeptical of her transformation from a "fun girl" to a devoted flower of Jesus. He didn't get it at all.

I’ve heard God speak to me when I pray and I’m not in the Bible. And I know it was God.

Nothing matters more than our eternal soul. For 50 years I was attending the Lukewarm Church. Since the age of 6 I had 4 multiple personality disorders, I was a homeless, suicidal, drug-addicted, murdering, gay, prostitute, that was kidnapped for sex trafficking, after I ran away from home when my mom said she wanted to kill me. Then in 2017 I was finally saved when I found out it only takes 1 Day to Listen to the N.T. Bible. The Truth set me Free, and I stop making excuses for my sin after I read 1st John 3:6-10: No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. 7. Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. 8. The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. 9. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. 10. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister. ~For 5.5 years now, I have read my entire Bible every month. I made a list of 182 other N.T. verses that all say Go and Sin No More. 1.5 years go I found a YT channel called: BIBLE STUDY 101; Every night of the week he posts a video as he reads through the N.T. to prove how we are to live to get into Heaven.

Pastors these days, after 1980 don't do that. I know soooo many who were in her desperate and needy situation and we went to the pastors of many churches, and we were told that since we aren't paying members at that church, they couldn't help. They didn't even pray for us. The wickedness of pastors is from the devil, and the is no love in them.
