Story Of Healings, Resurrections, and Miracles: With Dr. Keener
We are at Asbury Seminary with Dr. Craig Keener discussing stories of healings, resurrections, and miracles that he has documented in his multivolume books called "miracles". Dr. Keener is an invaluable resource to the Charismatic movement, one of his many accomplishments is his work documentation of miracles. In this video, Dr. Keener tells us the stories he has gathered from his research. Sick people healed, dead people raised, and miraculous signs with documented proof and first-hand accounts from witnesses who were present.

My husband said a simple prayer when we were new Christians. I had tests done and it was reported that I could not have children, because of scarred fallopian tubs. I got pregnant the next month! I have 5 adult children now!

I prayed for two little girls who were malnourished and had vitamin A deficiency where they had something that looked like cataracts on their eyes. Their eyes became clear. It shocked all the people around us. They knew those girls and they were half-blind before. This was on the streets of Mumbai. A lot of people I have prayed for didn't get healed, but some did. It is the healing of the spirit which is most important, but God still does heal today to suit His purpose, not ours.

@@JamesRichardWiley I would say the cataracts are a consequence of living in a fallen world where our bodies do deteriorate. Death and decay entering into creation wasn’t God’s original plan, however, through the fall of man, God is able to bring forth His ultimate redemptive plan in the restoration of all things when Jesus returns and establishes His kingdom here on the earth and those who have turned to Him in faith and repentance will receive new and glorified bodies conformed to His and so on. Experiencing healing in this present evil age is just a taste of the powers of the age to come. Pointing us forward to to Day when The Lord will give us new bodies. He is the resurrection and the life.

So if something happens that you think is really strange or out of the ordinary you call it a miracle and your reasoning is "this is proof because I can't explain it" ? so a miracle is something you can't explain right?. Now if you are going to use this as "your " criteria of a miracle I suppose you believe in miracles based on your definition. Does that make it a miracle or does that make it a miracle based on a personal definition. I would think that if you are a biblical Christian [by that I mean an actual Christian ] this would be very thin ground to stand on. Probably 50% to 75% of those who think they are Christians are in actual fact Christians. Most people today think they are Christians because someone told them to "repeat after me". They are sinner's prayer Christians which is found no where in the bible. These people believe that a person can't be supernaturally saved by God . They believe spiritually dead reprobate godless and helplessly lost individual has to give God "permission" to save them. God can only offer His salvation but they have to allow God in. They have to "accept" this amazing grace. The bible tells us that in Adam all die. A man comes into condemnation upon his first breath as a human being because he was born of a human man who only produces a condemned sinful offspring without desire or ability to turn to the Savior. When in mercy God touches this Spiritually dead person then and only then is his spiritual eyes opened to see and understand his lostness and deadness and thus is enabled in repentance to seek respond in faith unto salvation. I don't think any Christian has a problem with God and His miracles just those who claim that some folks have the gift of divine healing . That is a deception that can be easily proven wrong. Just bring these folks around and let them prove they have the gift just like Christ and Peter and Paul etc. did right out in the open so that it would bring glory to God. Then us doubting Thomas secessionists will have out false understanding of the Holy Spirit corrected which I believe would also bring much glory to God.

@@jjrob7220 Thanks for the kind words! I will say this… unless one is committed to obtaining the kind of wisdom mentioned in James 3:17 in real life interactions, I'm highly doubtful that it will ever show up on social media. God has given me some "challenging circumstances" that have forced me to either humbly place kindness and truth around my neck and on my heart, or divorce myself from relationships and find people who please me-and for that I am very grateful, because I know the one to which I am commanded :-) It's a fine line sometimes, and can be tiresome, but worth it.

It's not just miracles, the evidence of God's involvement in our lives is truly amazing. I'm trying to write a memoir, and as I go over the stories a theme I see recurring over and over again is the "suddenlies." Suddenlies - like if I hadn't been there on that day at that exact time that wouldn't have happened. Look back over your life and see with new eyes the stories of your life and how many times a story got started by a "suddenly."

Few who had been faced with insurmountable odds and received a biblical class miracle diminish its value to them, their families, friends, neighbors and especially, their heightened relationship with the Lord. When the Lord favors YOU with a real life changing biblical class miracle, you will hold that close to your heart for life. You will chew on it all your days and share with others what the Lord did for you.

After that I had to stay with someone since I was too weak to be alone. I was given very strong (3) antibiotics for the MAC infection. Three doctors told me I could die. Then I had sepsis pneumonia and was given a 20% chance to live. The doctor told me I had severe stage 3 COPD and that was about 10 plus years ago. COPD is the 3rd leading cause of death in the US. But I’m getting better not worse! All to the glory of God!

I am convinced God does not heal us of everything, but sometimes in pieces and parts, because he wants the relationship with us. Sometimes when we are completely healed, and out of pain, and have no scars, we forget. We forget who He is. Having been healed spontaneously, I speak from deep questioning. I questioned why one part was healed and another was not. I questioned it for a brother, as well. Why was one medical thing healed, and another was not. I believe God has answered. He created us for a relationship. It means more to him that we are in relationship with Him than anything else.

Most Christian look outside, Classic theology has you waiting and think its the final day, The first Adam is seen as human, your second Adam isn't seen nor understood its in you not outside to wake you up like your a son of God. Inside you not out side looking when it's already in you, wake up! Paul was Saul until he woke in him! Phil 2:5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Why do these videos have blasephemous ads, some white senior citizen claiming to be God. I don't know why Christians would want to watch 'PureFlix' with all these blasephemous and sacriligeous ads. Wouldn't Netflix, with all the junk on it, be potentially less damaging?

It’s because it’s the ‘world.’ KZfaq isn’t a Christian platform. It’s a worldly platform and therefore you will get worldly content ads.

I think 'Pureflix' is supposed to be a Christian service or is supposed to cater to Christians, but I find a lot of the premises for their movies disturbing-- someone pretening to be God the Father, like in the 'O God' movies, or an angel giving an unbeliever an 'A Chrismas Carol'-like experience of an alternative life he could have lived if he married a Christian girl.

Ads tell more about you and what you browse on the internet than the show you are watching.

I believe in miracles, I have experienced answers to prayer, but what I find interesting is I hear about all these miracles and there's absolutely NO VIDEOS on you tube of these "miracles". There are cell phones EVERYWHERE, but no one is posting videos of these "healings". I've been in hundreds of prayer meetings in my 50 years as a Christian....I've never seen one of the modern day "apostles" ever lay their hands on someone who is critically ill...wheelchairs, blind, deaf....CANCER......lots of praying....Sadly 99 and 3/4% leave.....un-healed....it's so sad. A good example is FRANCIS CHAN. He said he prayed over an entire village....and everyone he prayed for was healed of deafness!! Really?? And no videos in today's media frenzy that has videos of dogs dancing and birds talking? C'mon man!

Does God's Perfect Plan include entrapment, disconnection, favoritism, mass drownings of little children, disease, starvation, war, torture, and crucifixion? Yes Does God's Perfect Plan include random healings, resurrections and miracles that suspend the Laws of Nature? Yes. Could God end the suffering of all living things any time he felt like it? Yes. So why won't he? Because he is not loving, or moral.

It’s fallacious logic and shallow thinking belying a complete lack of understanding of Christianity and our God but hey it’s your opinion so might as well plaster it all over KZfaq
