I think one of the reasons why Molly's part is different is because, In the OG game, Muffy (her old name) is the default marriage option if you chose not to romance anyone (no attempt at all) and this scene happens Like me on my first playthrough of the OG game where I did not know you could even marry anyone

I think Rock and Molly’s were the saddest for me. Molly has bad luck with love already so I can only imagine how heartbreaking it is for her to be rejected once again. Rock is more of the fact he’s so hated that seeing him get sad feels worse especially since he’s growing on me.

Never understood why the game's end was always like "O no, [protagonist] is interested in some other career", when it could have been more investment in farming than romance lol My character in AnWL just wanted to farm :') Ended up having to marry Rock, haha

@@PocketPal95 because you’re not allowed to avoid family The whole point of the game is that it has the chapters in the story and part of that is starting your family on the inherited farm Thus it is forced upon you whether you like it or not It’s a very different and particular game so it’s not for everyone even among farming sim fans

@@PocketPal95I suppose it would be weird if they pulled a game over on you for not playing into the story and let your character stay on the farm anyway as a “game over ending” since it’s technically still a farming game Idk 🤷🏻‍♀️

@@V.U.4six Yeah, fair enough, get it, it IS family based and despite my complaint about the ending being that, I like the family raising aspect (I just didn't like Rock or Marlin and young me didn't focus much on Gustafa, the AWL version I got married to Celia and Muffy and wanted another disk so I could marry Nami xDi) it still is one of my favourite HM/SoS games along with Trio, haha :D

@@V.U.4six Fr, they came to the farm only to be carted off as not interested when they don't want to get married, I found it more baffling than anything else lol In a gameplay standpoint, it makes complete sense as to why, I'm just on about storyline wise, it's a bit outta left field xD But tbh it doesn't take a whole lot away from the game for me since in AWL I always married the bachelorettes :D

I don’t love Nami’s bc it sounds much more like “hey get married to me so I can stay here” rather than “get married bc I love you”. Like obv Nami does have feelings for the player, and it’s very much in her personality to phrase things the way she did, but I just hate it as a confession or lead up to marriage. It feels icky to me tbh. And then gives the vibe afterward of “I guess I have to leave bc u won’t marry me😒” like girl. There’s a million other ways you could stay if u wanted to.

Honestly when I try to think of what my character, like as a person, would do it’s pretty much always rejecting any folks at the end of the year and then continuing to farm on their own. But ofc the game sillily ends if you don’t get married, so all of year 2 and beyond is like, non-canon for my character a bit, it’s kind of weird. So I’m glad I got to see these. Also I’d never seen any part of Gordy’s reverse confession (except for the minimum love one) and gosh his is so sweet >w

I have 4 saves, one marrying each of the bachelors. But I don't know who to continue with, I'm gravitating more towards Matthew, but I really like Gustafa too. Gordy is cool as well. The least I'm leaning too is towards Rock.

I think going for Matthew will be beneficial if you want your child be a farmer. Just not Rock 😂.

I would go for Matthew the character development is on point for that one. For example, he goes from "I can't cook, you do something" to "I've been practicing cooking, don't worry, I'll eat anything I prepare." Also great dad, super attached to the kid character. Finally, goes from being nostalgic about his old work to "maybe I was always meant to be on a farm".

Man I gotta say I had no idea who to romance when starting to play. The more I saw Gordy's events the more I liked how sweet he was. I rush to give him the feather after the firework show. seeing his reaction here and how respectful after the regection def makes me believe more I made the right choice. Gordy's the best candidate

The game make its ok to be gay, but why its not ok to be alone? is that a bad thing to just wanna be alone in a farm. I love the farm, but i'm not really thinking about getting married

I think some of us really want that but it seems that majority of the events after Chapter 1 revolves around your family so I guess thats why (not all events but you know what I mean)

It's a remake of Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. The whole concept of the game is starting a family on the farm, the game's story is built around that aspect. If you don't have partner, the story can't progress. I think in every other game from the series it doesn't matter whether you get a partner or not, you can only focus on farming if you want to. But it's a big part of this particular game.

Bc the entire concept of this particular game is centered around raising your child… lmao. You can play ANY other SOS or HM game and you don’t have to be married. But “why is it not ok to be alone” is bc it’s literally the fucking concept of the game 😂

@@hommefataltaemin no, the concept about wonderful life is enjoying a wonderful life in the farm. that's why the progress seems slower than other game, you just enjoy every moment of your time to the fullest
