You can read the novels by Damoa Beiji, its called " The Grave Robbers Chronicles" which is a 6 book series and further you have the stand alone books after that too. You can find the translated books on Amazon.

@@vivitrumanto Members of family Zhang just die as ordinary people. Zhang Qi Shan is said to be buried under sea in warehouse 11 in Reboot. Xiao Ge's birth date is never exaclty indicated. We only know he is born in November. There is also a guess that he is born between 1900-1910. The guess is based on novel Zang Hai Hua, which is not finished yet. Good news is that the drama Zang Hai Hua will start filming this year. So within two years we will know more about him😄

Zhang Ri Shan's life is useless and xiao ge is long because his family strength disappeared. And Zhang qi ling is a position, we still don't know what the real name of the little brother is.

I think timeline wise (in order of events) Mystic Nine > The Lost Tomb > The Lost Tomb 2 > Ultimate Note > Tomb of the Sea > Reunion: Sound of Providence 1 & 2. I hope I got that right 😁. Although it can still get confusing because the next show doesn’t really pick up right off the ending of the previous show. There are some events missing because the continuation of that particular plot line didn’t get adapted as a second season or another tv show.

I have same problems... Like when ever a season starts, there are some blanks with no answers. I really like this story... still confused

firstly all the dramas were adapted from the novels and each adaption change up a huge bunch of stuff so many things don't line up. Black Glasses' real name was never mentioned in any of the books of dramas, it is only known that his last name is Qi. He's not related to the Zhang family or the Mystic Nine, not mentioned why he doesn't age. Fo Ye was a halfblood Zhang family kid so he age faster than RiShan and Qiling who are purebloods. He gave up his life to accompany his wife. Ba Ye and Er Yuehong died, afterall its been more than 70 years after the Mystic Nine story. Er Yuehong's student is XieYuChen. There are many guessings on who the Wang Family is, but generally they are a family just like the Zhang, and they want to earn the ability to live long. The Zhangs and Wangs had been fighting for centuries and have crossing spies. The ultimate secret of the universe was never revealed. in conclusion, the series is mysterious

Mystic 9 its very good, u have to seen it

So I´ve watched the Lost Tomb 1 and Mystic Nine, and the movie. From the First one only was like ahh that´s why Fatty calls Wu Xie naive...he really is -__- XD and also who is his grandpa. The Mystic nine is good but the final three episodes were like WTF they do with the edition x__X. They ruined the history with that. I thought that maybe the episodes were not complete, but that was the official page so O___O scenes that were not there, people who just disappear or die in who knows what moment and the voice in off (I´d never known who was reading the diary) just said: Chen Pi killed Tanaka, Cox never return, etc etc...big holes and then the war. And the end was like epic but at the same time was like....all of this and in the end, they just dropped and everything goes to hell in another way and just...Zhang Qi Zhan died?? It has been one of the most frustrating final episodes in a drama that I´ve seen so far x__X

The Mystic Nine is a prequel for The lost tomb. It will introduce people to the most important families in the lost tomb series aka the nine grave-robbing families. There are many side story's and episodes and I can say that you don't really have to watch it to understand the lost tomb.

But the chinese directors have started to make a series and various sequels and prequels to the book and it's characters because of its popularity. If you want you can start by watching " Lost Tomb" the first book series followed by " Lost Tomb 2" which is being aired currently. There are other series like " Sand Sea" " The sound of Providence" which are all revolving around the characters of the original series their stories. However Lost Tomb series follows the books in order. But only first 2 books are made into series so far. Other books too will soon be made into series though.
