I have dealt with Narcissists before. Falling in love with a Narcissist is not something anyone would want to do. They are the worst bunch of people to ever associate with. If you spot a Narcissist, call them out and run for your life. Nothing is more important than your own mental health.

I am sorry. My friend is suicidal and has been divorced 4x before age 30 due to HOW MUCH her mother insists on getting involved in her relationships upto starting rumors. Somalis don't believe parents can be toxic but they can be.

I mean the word toxic doesn't do justice to explain some of the atrocious behaviors my friend's mother exhibits. I am encouraged that Somalis are starting to have a conversation about mental illnesses and some of the toxic traits of people who have it and what they put through others. May Allah guide your mother, ease your pain hon, and make your happier for the rest of your life. It can be EXHAUSTING dealing with people with personality disorders. Edit: Somalis don't believe parents can error which is just wrong. The mentality of parents being ALWAYS correct under any circumstance is horrible and just wrong. Parents are human beings too and when they are toxic, it is the children that get scarred for life.

I would love to talk to your friend and give her support. It’s soo hard because you want to please them but at the same time they cause you soo much pain. Definitely! Im soo happy she’s talking about it. The saddest part is that they can’t be cured because it’s a personality disorder. They’ll never change you just have to remove yourself from the situation and have boundaries. You’re a good friend, god bless you babe. You’re soo sweet to empathise with her. @@ba1354 Saax. You are amazing too and have great awareness. Her mother is so overbearing it is hard to get away but I am sure talking to people who deal with similar things help tremendously. Yes, we want to be filial child to our parents but sometimes it is hard. You are right that personality disorders can be cured. I heard therapy is HORRIBLE for narcissists because they become aware of how others view them and they learn to hide it and become masters of disguise. Doctor Phil does segments now going in details and she follows what program which helps her come to terms with reality.
