He hired Bae and Melody....two women who already had and ran their own shops. When I tell you that's literally the ONLY thing that he's done that was worthwhile. When they filmed in Bae''s shop this past season....honestly, I'd go there over Black Ink. I loved the vibe of her shop.

Bae fake and was trying to secure her spot. She really did all that extra over possibly being called a h0e but she didn't have that same energy when Sky called her waaay worst told her to her face she was a liar a fabricator. She ain't do shh but cry. But she was ready to beat up on Tiff who is waaaay smaller, she had no proof she was even called a h0e, it was a he said she said moment, but took that as a reason to turn up to the max. Foh.

So Sky's issue with Tiffany was because of Dutchess. We already knew Dutchess didn't like her and at that time, Sky and Dutchess were still close. It was more of a loyalty thing that spiraled as more people started having problems with her, which i can understand cause most people would move the same when it comes to their friends. Although if you want to get into it the reason Dutchess didn't like her from day 1 is because Tiffany had everything she was wishing she did, and she didn't have to go on a reality show and use a man to get it.

It's not so much that Dutchess couldn't handle running the shop- because if it's one thing Dutchess can do it's run Black ink- it's that she didn't want to, and we never seem to have the time and energy to do the things we don't want to do. She already had a foot and a half out the door at this point in the series, and she was really only interested in tending the fence until she made her final exit.

Teddy is truly a lazy bear (on show) , but from what I've even able to find out behind the scenes he does quite a lot for the shop as well as being a tattoo artist , and he's a music producer too amongst other things! The show is just him/them playing a very much extended often scripted version of themselves .
