The beginning monologue does imply a lot tho, ancient magic keeping Gura’s long life, The Ancient One’s prolonged death through sleep, Kiara’s eventual flames of revival burning out. It’s all tangential, but it does connect myth together by the theme of death, and thus Calli’s eventual involvement

I alway imagined the girl being intertwined with their lore to be the basis of myth. Like Ame’s first time travel attempt has her rescuing a young guru from a destroyed Atlantis, Kiara’s small moments of death has her interact with Calli before her next rebirth, Ina’s first interaction with AO-chan gives her knowledge about what destroyed Atlantis and it’s only survivor which leads to finding Gura. Or something like that.

It’s also funny that in myth’s bad ending and a lot of tangential fan works, Amelia is always making the sacrifice play to save her friends. So, if Calli didn’t prolong young Amelia’s death, she never would have saved them all. One good deed doesn’t go undone.

Calli being the reason Ame always seems to cheat death in her stories is appropriate. It’s also very sweet that since most of the fanworks like myth’s bad ending tend to depict Ame as someone who always makes the sacrifice play for her friends, so it’s appropriate that death saved her when she was young. One good deed doesn’t go undone . Cheers to 3 years, Dad!

From a purely story-telling standpoint it makes a lot of sense, too. Ame is The Heart of the Party. Without her, the five-man band crumbles. In some way, she brought everyone together as they are.

I find it fascinating that Calli despite being a supernatural being does not know all of the answers. She wonders if angels and devils may exist. She wonders about the fact in some time she herself will see her own journey end. I find it intriguing as a lover of stories and someone who wishes to develop lore himself.

I like this portrayal of the Reaper. He's not the reason behind why people die. He's just the guy who carries your soul into the afterlife. And that scythe isn't for you. It's to protect your soul from bigger monsters in the darkness that want you for themselves.

It also works because we don't see him wearing shorts in the start of his conversation, and that's also before we knew about him being a good guy. So in the beginning, he gives off a sort of menacing aura, but then the cloak moves back and we see him actually being this kind of a dork. And that's fitting, since Calli is also a dork.

This was really good, and this is my favorite interpretation of death: not a horrible monster screaming out of the darkness swinging a scythe, but just someone doing their job. A guide, maybe a friendly face, someone to walk with you from one life to the next.

I honestly find it interesting to see how different people treat and personify death in stories and myth. Izanami the scorned wife, Ah Puch the cruel, Helen with her legions the daughter of Loki, GAIMINS DEATH WHO SPOKE THIS LIKE THIS RAISING MORT, to Frim trying to keep Billy and Mandy in check, to the creeping death who answered pharaoh yet passed over others. It really is a fascinating subject.

The personification of death that answered pharaoh and passed over others is called the Angel of Death in that lore. And in this same lore, angels are messengers. So even this interpretation can be consistent with that because you can "animate" this to having Death look like a mailman or package delivery driver saying "its time to go" and other things

This is an unbelievably cute animation and story. Tying Calli's lore and her beginning to open up to humans to Watson is such a sweet idea and actually works really well. Hopefully someday we'll finally see all the stories of how Ame assembled her own personal Avengers of weirdness. It's always a joy to see you guys team up with Merryweather Media to make these, they put so much love and care into all their projects. Hats off to them for another phenomenal lore video under their belt.

Beautiful video. Gotta love how Death-sensei was so chill and it makes sense because all he does is make sure people get well to their final destination when they inevitably die. Yeah, like, it's not their role to kill people; just to pick them up and see them off when they die, which is something not even Death itself controls, but something that simply... happens. Hey, Calli, when my time comes, could you come pick me up, please? Although the funny skeleton man is fine as well, nothing would make my final moments before climbing that stairway happier than having you of all people, someone I deeply admire and respect, taking me there.

Honestly this lore video is so touching. Especially how she instinctively saves Amelia's life when she's a kid by the middle, then after being sent on a vacation, she ends up meeting Amelia when she's older, and the credits immediately roll, with "End of a Life" playing....and the specific lyric that plays there "I'll never find another chance to say ' *Hey thanks for saving my life.* '" I cried.

If you think about it, in tons of fanworks and MythBadEnding, Amelia is always depicted as making the sacrifice play to save her friends, so it’s quite fitting that Calli is the one who saves young Amelia. Basically, they saved each other. One good deed doesn’t go undone

Man ...this made me realize how good the lore and current adventures of the myth girls is , and how them becoming friends, would make a great movie. It so far fits perfectly with myths bad end and those 3d stop motions with ame (forgot the name). Imagine this with a full anime budget 😮. Man, this Story Video really had me feeling emotional throughout the whole thing. The parts with Ame especially got to me and the way it ended, I definitely was fighting back tears! The story was really good and everyone's voice acting was fantastic. Thank you so much and to everyone who made and helped share this special story. Congrats on 3 years, Calli!

Dang this hit hard especially when end of a life started playing in the background. I had to check who voiced death and was half surprised that it was cy yu because it sounded so familiar. I really like how the story goes and how it points out death as not being a sad ending in my opinion

She sounded like a young mousey, if anything it isnt out there that Calli is who lead Iron mouse to heaven. She is seen within hell in iron mouses lore. It also does seem a lot like mouse personality wise. Plus we only see death, the existence of Bubi is possible

Man 3 years of Amezing memories. This was a very nice and touching lore video. So many banger music covers, originals, albums, concerts, vinyls, merch, streams, collabs, friendships, debuts. I love this, I wish we got more official content with a serious tone. The silly and funny stuff is great, too, but fan animations like Myth vs Ina make me want to see cannon serious content that is voice acted by the girls, especially when the writing is this good. I actually got a bit emotional during Death Sensei's speech.
