As a non-native trying to learn English, this is the final boss. Edit: Okay. So fun story. Since posting this comment I've visited Ireland twice. The second time I went to a pub with an English friend. He got a bit drunk and started talking to some random folks about firearms which kind of startled me. It took me almost half an hour to realise they were talking about farms.

That's hilarious, great story. I've also found that some Irish accents are considerably thicker than others based on a reality type TV show I've watched. I assumed it had to do with a variety of factors such as where exactly they're from, education level, etc. Most I could understand, but there was this one guy, I believe he was a farmer, who's accent was so thick it was ridiculous. I was so frustrated trying to understand him, I could barely make out a word he said, whereas his wife, a school teacher, was perfectly understandable.
