Some kid tackled me with his head in under 12s and injured his neck. While they waited for the ambulance I had parents coming up to me (mostly mothers) asking for my passport and calling me a liar and that I'm not actually 12 years old. One mother actually said "Look at what you've fucking done? You may have paralysed him". My body was alot bigger than the other kids, but my mind was still that of a 12 year old. @@javijah6583 you don’t but I doubt a fucking 15 are even a 13 year old at that is going to cry for being told he can’t literally abuse a bunch of kids who are younger than him 😂 the point of him crying proves that he’s actually friends with those kids or at least their age. an older kid would probably laugh or just not cry like wtf EDIT: Everyone who replied to my comment apparently is a dumbass or just didn’t understand the context I was speaking in. I’m not questioning that this kid is crying because he’s passionate about the sport he plays. I believe that he is 11 and don’t think it’s right to say he can’t play. I’m saying… IF YOU ARE AWARE THAT YOU ARE CHEATING THEN YOU WOULDN’T CRY FOR BEING CALLED OUT. PLAYING BELOW YOUR AGE LEVEL IS CHEATING. 12 playing with an 11 year old is normal but if you’re 13+ with 5 inches and 40lbs over everyone then yea man that’s clearly cheating. I’m pretty sure Rugby isn’t Wrestling so there are no weight classes. But for a bigger kid who happens to be a couple years older than his competition can legit hurt another kid. Let’s not pretend.

But is he really the age being claimed? This has been a problem lately, refugees claiming to be younger then they actually are, I'm not making it up, there's been hundreds of cases all across the nation. Paperwork can take a long time to actually process or getting paperwork can be almost impossible in some cases. Not even 3 weeks ago 3 blokes were exposed as being 19 and playing with the 13-14 ago league, they were using fake paperwork, they had already played 1/3 of the season and when questions started getting raised activists took up the cause, then their true identities came about and suddenly it all went away and got swept under the rug. I'm not saying that's the case here, if the kid is really 11 then obviously it's wrong and horrible but you have to have all the facts before judging something.

My twin boys went through the same thing. Too big for club competition but not at State level in their age group. These decisions stem from parents who want their kids to play a game that is probably not suited to them and put more effort in making complaints rather than teaching their kid how to tackle, run , pass and making good decisions on the field. At some stage in life, size matters if you’re still playing rugby and if you have a kid that hasn’t had the experience of tackling a running bull .. awwww mate!!! Good luck!!!

Some kids develop faster or earlier than others.I saw this a lot when i was Junior Rugby coaching in U8`s through to U17`s.There were many physically much bigger lads in some of the age-groups in the UK.I really feel sorry for this lad,it is not usual practice to exclude players in this way. Makes me wonder i there were any`outside-influences`, (parents) from opposition clubs attempting to prevent this lad playing.A real shame to see him upset, hopefully he will not give-up the sport.

It seems like a safety issue with the kid being under 18 and being bigger and stronger then his teams that legally he can't play if a kid gets injured then the club and the firm incontrol would legally be accountable for other kids deaths or injuries.. The kid will just have to find another team which I highly doubt, play privately at home with friends, or wait until he's 18 and legally allowed to play with others.. 😃 hope that helped

I think Australia needs to adopt New Zealand's way of playing rugby which is by weight. It also helps mould the player in over coming their fear of playing older age groups as they are exposed to players more their height and weight even if they are a year or two younger. I truly believe this is why NZ has been so dominant in rugby over the years because the talent pool of players are highly skilled and well on the way to peaking during and after highschool.

One the smaller kids learn nothing just that size matters which is already a known thing that's why they have age groups and weight classes in combat sports. The bigger kid learns nothing and is never challenged meaning he's wasting his time. Your view of equality = same size is wrong. If that were the case then any boxer that weighs 147lbs should be able to beat Floyd Mayweather but that's not how it works. There are skill gaps size isn't skill it's just size. Running over kids half your size is not talent. I'd say let him play with a age group one year older than him, it's better and safer for the other kids and he will have a bit of a tougher time which will lead to h8m actually becoming a good rugby player and not just relying on his growth spurt to help h8m hurt other kids.

He shouldn’t be playing with kids half his size. This is a good opportunity to have him play with kids of a similar size. He’ll become a much better player for it.

I may not have liked it at the time, but I'm grateful to my brother who was four years older than me when he would tell me "If you can't play up to our level, you can't play." when he would play with his friends. It helped me learn how to take a hit, to be humble, to get stronger, and to learn how to use my head under pressure.

I was literally talking about this with my wife and mother in law yesterday , our son is only 9 months old but he’s almost as big as a 2 year old and I’m worried that as he grows up that he will get treated older or be discriminated against because of his skin color and size . I see it all the time and I even dealt with it myself when I was younger because I was bigger than most kids , say my friends deal with it because we were all huge black kids . It’s like everyone forgets you’re just a kid when you’re that big and don’t realize how easily you can still be hurt on the inside because you look tough and strong on the outside .

Someone always has to, somehow, someway. bring up skin color in any topic regardless of what it is about. We fucking get it already. In the current day and age, blacks are somehow the only ones systemically oppressed in a system that favors the rich.

When we played tackle bull rush as kids and there was a huge Fijian boy call Gary John and it’d take 4 of us to get him down… but while he could bump or hurt anyone, he knew how to throw his weight around safely enough. Sometimes life throws you massive obstacles, but if you’re smart.. like my little friend Wilson did one day, is just took his legs and rolled with him. Kids should all be learning the similar things and not excluded from sport.
