Not really. I enjoyed both. My first playthrough was with Femshep and I really liked her voice acting. My 2nd playthrough was with Maleshep, it took some time to get used to and eventually I liked it as well. Both VA's did a great job representing Commander Shepherd.

His secret to sucess is being significantly worse than his non-canon counterpart, Jennifer Hale xD God he fucking sucked in Mass Effect. I don't know how in the actual fuck he made it past the first game with that dead ass voice acting. Listening to maleshep is like listening to a soulless husk read off sound bytes. All the other characters had such fantastic voice acting, then you have the male shep.
