Ok , so funny story. I was watching Cimorelli videos in the car on the way to Kohl’s yesterday. (I wasn’t driving btw) And so , I was shopping and whatnot. And then , when I was in the bathroom the video I was on randomly started to play , and out of no where I hear Dani’s voice. My exact words were “Ahhhh. Crap. Go away.” I was frantically trying to close the video. The worst part , is that there were other people in other stalls in the bathroom...... And they were trying so hard not to laugh at me. Lol. It was kind of embarrassing, but super hilarious. I thought I should comment , so we can share in my embarrassment. 😳

I think you just described an experience that a large percentage of young ladies (and young men, for that matter) have, for their first (or only) prom. I went to a tiny high school in Valdez, Alaska. Because our classes were generally around 20 people (total...like that was all of the entire class for any given year...mine was 15 at graduation), our proms were designed for not only the whole high school, but the community (the year I graduated, I think we had MAYBE 1500 people in town) as well. It was the event of the year! The Jr. Class would plan, pay for, and present the prom, as a gift for the seniors. So we went through three years of high school, preparing for that one big event. Our class did a really wonderful prom for "our" seniors. Then, the following year, my older-younger (the older of my two younger) brothers' class (who were HUGE snobs, and a class of...WOW...35) raised enough money to...GO TO DISNEYLAND TOGETHER for their own Senior Sneak, the following year!!! They did NOT, however, want to spend any of their hard-earned money to also really present a beautiful prom for us seniors, so they went to the superintendent, and tried to get him to cancel the prom for that year! You can imagine OUR mindset at that point. There was a major fight at our house, for one thing. Usually, my brother and I got along very well, but, WOW! That was just unheard of, and SO unfair! So...the superintendent, of course, did NOT approve their plan, and required them to give the prom, as usual. Well...they did, but they basically didn't spend any money on it. In their favor, they actually did a very good job of doing everything (including some very good food) themselves, and not paying anyone to help, etc. BUT...we seniors, with our small group of 15, chose to ONLY go to the prom for the opening dance, and the performance of our two musical groups (my group of girls--five of us--who sang folk songs and were quite in demand in town, for events, and a group of our most handsome young men, who had a small rock band). We presented ourselves for the opening of the prom, ate some food from the side tables, sang when we were scheduled (and we had made sure we were all scheduled early), then we all went to the door, turned and waved, and yelled, "BYE!!!" and then made our grand exit! We all went to the apartment of my best friend, who was already on her own (my first husband and I were, also--married, with our first child), and had our own dinner party with board games...best prom I ever halfway attended! LOL Nowadays, after raising my own six kids, and watching all of them raise ,my grandkids and now great-grandkids, I would not at ALL condone that type of behavior, but back then, it seemed like the only thing to do, since those foolish underclassmen had treated us so badly, with no respect at all! :-)
