Is it just me or is it when the video is dedicated to being a story time it’s short…… but when i just need a simple answer to something its a 20 min video

My son came out, with a unique “cry”. I was in the room with my wife, waiting on them to bring him to see her, after her C-section. She heard a baby crying, being delivered to the floor, twice… and I said “that’s not him”. When I heard his cry, after the first two babies, I said that’s him. And, the door opened up… My kids are my LIFE!

When my kids were born, I noticed the hospital had lots of procedures in place to prevent this. They immediately tagged the baby with an ID bracelet in front of us. They also had me tag along for everything before bringing the baby back into the room. I'm not sure how this happens anymore.

The hospital our son was born in placed an electronic ankle bracelet on each child. The bracelet also would trigger alarms and cause doors to lock if the child went near an exit to prevent babynapping.

Chael the same surgery mix up happened to me in 2017 at Ft Bliss before I retired from the Army. Thankfully, the nurse’s assistant asked me questions that immediately threw up flags. I was going into to have a previous surgery corrected. She asked me if I was excited to soon have a new nose. I am an old Mortarman, so I thought I missed heard her. I said what. She repeats herself. I said no I am not here for nose surgery I am here for x, and she said you’re not Mr. So and So. I said no. Right then and there I was like WTF? WTH I have a small nose so I might’ve been walking out of there with a bird nose for all I know. Thank God she struck up conversation.

Story is suspect You CAN have a blue eyed baby if both parents have brown eyes (genotype: both parents have one brown eye gene and one blue eye gene so their phenotype is brown eyes but the child inherits a blue eyes gene from both parents => blue eyes) What you CAN’t have is two blue eyed parents (to have blue eyes both genes for eye color must be for blue eyes so there are no brown eye genes in either parents’ genotype) who have a brown eyed child (neither blue eyed parent has a brown eyes gene)

A few years back I was having pain going to the bathroom. Went to the hospital and they informed me that it was either kidney stones or an STD, and then kidney stones were ruled out. Having always been faithful I was gutted and in disbelief and implored to them that there must be another solution. Fortunately it was discover that I was allergic to the spermicidal contraceptive the wife and I had recently started using before accusations started and things snowballed. But for a few hours both my wife and my life’s was turned upside down by a simple mistake.

I never left either of my kids side... Thru everything at the hospital. Even my nephew.

4 kids. Never once did that child leave my side. No matter what the Hospital tells you just remember it is your child and your say. They always argued. I always won. One of my kids in the middle of the night they tried to come in and take for a checkup back in the nursery. I said no do not touch my kid without me being there. They say fine come on back. Ill never forget. 15 crying babies and 2 nurses. All these babies whos parents were in their rooms and these babies alone. Of course they check my kid first to get me out of the room asap. But I thought those are probably good parents but how easily they allowed their child to go back with so called professionals they didnt know. Had they known their child was among 15 other crying babies maybe they would of said no. They must of thought their Child was the Priority. I don’t know. But any new Parent out there if you read this maybe it’ll help you. Your child. Your rules. Don’t comply

In Australia, within a few minutes of birth, they slap on a plastic ID bracelet on the ankle and on the wrist. I was shown the wording on both to make sure it was accurate (name of parents, DOB & TOB). Is there not something like that done in the US?

Two immediate questions arise: 1) How did the couple in question not immediately notice it wasn't their child when I presume both parents saw what the kid looked like when (s)he exited the womb; and 2) What's stopping the couple from litigating the hospital for such egregious incompetency?

Chael, the baby mix ups, while uncommon per capita, do happen. I looked up the statistics. The other event you were describing called sentinel events where a doctor operates on the wrong part of the body occurs even more rarely.

They have to change the process so once the baby is born it gets some kind of marking on it so that it is always vry clear which baby it is that the parents are taking home.In another case like this who knows what could have happened god forbid.

Chael must’ve got caught fooling around and in true Chael fashion, drops this story.
