Having been blessed with the Grace of God recently, blessed in his Spirit (prior to that, I hadn't acknowledged Him in 30 yrs but now I am a new creature in Christ), this video episode of Scott Hahns and Fr. Timothy Vavarek gives some of the insight & thoughts I myself couldn't express in words. Thank you Holy Spirit for bestowing your wisdom on Fr. Timothy so now further knowledge of the mystery of God the Father and His Son is revealed to the world.

I thought that Mormons believed that we will become gods after we die united with God correct? I think the clarity of these discussions are important because they all sound a little similar. I don’t think too many people believe that we will become like God united with God really. It is interesting. It’s deep thinking for sure. So I imagine that many people Who do not really think terribly deeply will miss the whole point. This is very good but boy it is deep! Thank you though it’s excellent!

Is it true that Catholics repent then keep sinning? It is not a true repentance if your heart shows no remorse or regret

No but i am trying to be because i have remorse for my sins and strive to not sin

@@stephanierobbins5670 good for you. Everybody are struggling to be good in this fallen world we’re living. Through our eyes, hearts and minds we commit sins. God’s divine mercy is not for the perfect people but for the sinners that trying hard to fight again and again.

Of coarse. But best everyone atleast tries. We are not godly or immortal beings.. However according to research I've done, are heart grow bigger. Our ability to love gets stronger over time.. And that is one of the things the lord cherishes so much about us.. That is why we must have time for reflection.. We must have time to say, I've made a goal to do this better.. For some reason the movies I've seen about catholics aren't very kind to your religion..

@@stephanierobbins5670 Dear sister, what I think you are talking about is the 'way of virtue' that many Catholic saints went through and we should all go through. (that's why they are saints - it's not easy!). However, there is another way for holiness that was discovered by St. Therese of Lisieux that is called the 'little way' (she died @ 24 yo and is considered doctor of the Church = of highest importance). If you are interested, read her biography "A story of a Soul". Then go back to this video and listen to it again, as my guess is that Fr. Timothy's book is about the same approach (I haven't read his book, but certainly will as the concepts addressed are super profound) For "hearts growing bigger" I suggest you to read St. Teresa of Avila's "Interior Castle" and you'll find it in the Fourth Mansion. She calls it the 'dilation of the heart'. God bless!
