The music and animation in this was FIYA! Should we react to the series?

Overlord is a pretty solid anime with some great music. And it's particularly good for a reaction series if you're interested in doing one. While I wouldn't put it on the same level as Berserk by any means, it's definitely "darker" than your typical Shonen style anime like Naruto or One Piece. I do recommend it.

Fun fact: ending 1, ending 2, and opening 3 were done by Myth & Roid before they split up to focus on their solo careers. The singer, Mayu Maeshima, also did ending 4 though. But the singer you were talking about in the video that did the Fate openings was probably Aimer

OxT and Myth&Roid made such beautiful OSTs for Overlord. I am glad that MadHouse kept the same artists.

It’s worth the reactions. The first season is a tad bit slow to start. But after that it really picks up. I must warn that it will probably make you want to read the novels though.

News:(in case you didn't know him) Demiurge's Ranch: The ranch originally beginning as a encampment of tents where NPCs from the Great Tomb of Nazarick established themselves. Afterwards under the orders of Demiurge several locals from the area such as human villagers and demi-humans were brought there.[1] When peeling the skin from the ranch's captives the operators found it difficult to secure sufficient quantities, so Demiurge devised a method to revitalize the skin by applying restorative healing to the skinned victim. Using this method it became possible to repeatedly peel the skin from the same being. Because children have better quality skin, Demiurge began forcing parents to skin their offspring's' skin. In an attempt to improve the quality further, Demiurge began to develop a breeding program, but found that different species had different tastes in appearance, thus prompting him to use charm magic.

This is one of my favorite shows.. of all time.

I've watched over 650 anime and can easily say that Overlord is one of the best shows I've ever seen. Anime is amazing (still has some bad moments), but LN is a masterpiece.

This Anime is worth starting a reaction series too if you guys are interested.

The character art for this show is just amazing. This goes for the main characters as a matter of course, but also for many characters that only show up for a few minutes or die in the same episode. You can tell someone really spent time and effort to come up with these. They didn't want them to be disposable mooks but characters that are the heroes of their own story... Even if that story ends abruptly at the hands of Ainz Ooal Gown.

All i can say is its a pretty fun show

Overlord is an anime where the main character is the overlord (ainz which is the skeleton guy) and his subordinates which are those characters in the endings mainly (butler, the evil red guy, that girl with horns etc) they are all OP as fuck and its like watching an anime from the villain's point of view. (ALSO its an isekai like re zero, guy gets sent to another world with his base as his game character)

the main character is Momonga(he calls himself Ainz now) his race is "overlord of death"(which is the most powerful type of lich) and his class/job is "eclipse"(which is a rare version of the necromancer class/job that the players of the MMO he originates from say is "complete trash" and "not even worth the trouble to obtain") that red orb in his chest is a WCI(World Class Item) and it's theorized to be his Phylactery(the thing that holds a Lichs soul) it's unkown how he obtained that... also one of the other WCIs he possesses is a magic throne known as "the throne of kings" which he obtained after his guild was the first to complete the hardest instance in the game on their first try he may seem like a bad guy but he has good intentions a few of the currently exsting WCIs are "Billion Blades"(it never says what "Billion Blades" is exactly) Ginnungagap(a scepter that could take the form of anything it's wielder desires) "Avarice and Selfless"(a pair of gauntlets that could steal levels and give those levels to it's wielders allies) "Choloric Stone"(a crystal that is currently being used to power the mechanical humanoid known as Rubedo) "a depiction of nature and society"(a scroll of 100 paintings that grants it's user the ability to pull whoever they want into one of those 100 paintings) and there was a demon statue that if activated would summon an army of demons but I forgot it's name

"Don't you give me your love and passion?" Is a rhetorical question... a bit unusual for lyrics but it does actually make gramatical sense. It probably would make more sense if the singer had more English intonation as they are japanse... I had a teacher in college that was a Czech... and his intonation was totally backwards it was mind bending.

Is that the matrix of leadership in the background? From the original movie?

Overlord is one of my favorite anime. I highly recommend you two watch it whether you film the reaction or not.

This show is fun. Like, really fun. Easy to binge watch it.

Definitely check out overlord, it's an amazing series, it's the only anime to get me to buy the light novels to find out what happens in the story, unfortunately season 4 is covering all the light novels that was ahead of the series when it ended at season 3, but if you want more context, get the light novels or read the web series, they are dark.

Definitely react to it. All you need are like 2 or 3 episodes of this anime to get hooked to it.

Ending 1, but also anime music in general that mixes english and japanese parts (like in this case, there were fluid changes between both in the same sentence) doesn't always make 100% sense, often due to grammar issues and building weird sentences, so it's better to focus on the broader meaning, context or just the sounds, but once again, it depends on the show a lot too.

Ending 2 of overlord is my all time favourite ending, followed by Jujutsu Kaisen's ending 1.

You know why at times the lyrics of anime songs seems like they don't make sense?... Its coz the songs are written with the main character or the heroine in mind. One example is the ending songs of the rising of the shield hero. The ending song 1 and 2 is about raphatalia's feelings towards naofumi. There were times where you have to watch the show first and only then you will understand what the lyrics means. There are anime songs too where the lyrics pretty much spoils the story once you realize it.
