This video literally changed my life. I never knew the magic of a round brush + hair dryer. I'll never go back to whatever I did before. I'm also a little inspired by your cut - I've had my hair all one length for about a year now & I just have no idea what to do with it. I'm afraid to get layers &/or bangs because I know I'll have to spend more time styling it, but now that I know my way around a round brush, I think it could be done! Thanks!

Looks great! For your bang issue try blow drying it forward (instead of back), then flip to the side. I learned it from a hairstylist and have done it ever since!

I use the same detangler and when people see it or I tell someone about it I always feel so... Idk silly or something. But it's a great tool for me! I get what you're saying about "watching" your hair because mine is literally the same way. It'll just tangle for no reason no matter what if I don't keep an eye on it!

Leighann, from dealing with my bangs, for that small piece I would suggest teasing a small bit under you bangs. If you experiment with teasing under your bangs you can control them quite well! Thanks for all your tips on getting big hair, I needed that!! XO- Sam

I have a tangle-teaser brush, too and it does work great especially when brushing through previously teased hair. I don't feel like it is ripping my hair out or breaking it off. I bought a round brush similar to yours (and like what my hair stylist uses on my hair) and I just can't quite get the hang of it. I've tried and tried and get my hair stuck in the brush so much that I've decided I'm better off without it, lol! I use a teasing brush like you have and I don't know what I did before I had that magic little brush! It makes teasing so much easier. And I've got to have volume on the top off my hair and I also have to have bangs (even if they are just baby bangs, like really thin) or I look like a weirdo, lol! I probably sound like a weirdo the way I'm talking about my hair, but it is all true. Might as well be honest, ha ha. As far as detangling, I learned a trick that works great for wet hair. I keep a wide-toothed comb in the shower and when I'm ready to rinse the conditioner out of my hair, I run the comb through my hair before rinsing and the comb just runs through so smoothly. I very seldom get a tangle. Thought you might want to try that since you said you have tangle trouble because I had tangle trouble, too before I started that combing routine. Ok...I pretty much already do the same as you...and our hair cut and textures are very similar...but HOW the heck do you keep your hair teased in this stupid Houston humidity? I grew up in this town and recently moved back. I am SO considering going back to Dallas because this humidity and my hair do not agree with each other!!! (Let's face it...bad hair days are not enough to keep me in any city!) I spray hair spray at the roots before I tease and once I am done teasing, but inevitably it falls! If you know some magic trick for preventing this I welcome it!!!??? Thanks for making great videos btw...I've been thinking about starting my own channel but I just hope I can entertain as well as you and the other great ladies I watch!

Use a texturizing powder 1st,on your roots.After You rub that powder in,then tease your hair and hair spray the tease.The powder made by Schwarzkopf is the best for my (oily) hair.Ive literally broken a nail tryna run my fingers through a trease that I've used that brand of powder. Key word oily hair.Since I have such oily skin\hair,I have to wash my hair every single day.So,teasing with only hairspray,won't work,as my oils will eventually 'dilute' the hairspray and weigh down the teased hair. But that texture powder is amazing.You can find Schwarzkopf - "got2b" POWDER'ful volumizing styling powder at Walmart,Ulta and possibly a few drug stores might carry it.

In the salon we dry to 85-85% dry before round brushing, so you've got it down! I'd try teasing that pesky bang piece and then gently smooth it with the small teeth of a comb. Love your videos! :)

Love your videos! I am a hair stylist and just wanted to suggest you brush your hair from the bottom up. It will cut down on breakage and split ends. :)

Instead of teasing, you could use Mitch Stone Texture/Volumizing Spray on towel-dried roots. It works fabulously!! It is also great for 2nd & 3rd day hair restyling because you can use it on wet or dry hair. I uses hair to create volume, without being heavy or sticky.

To get your bangs to lay perfectly: instead of round-brushing them backwards, round brush them across your part. Like, still wrap the hair backwards around the brush, but while you're drying pull the brush across your part (to your right). Hope that makes sense/helps!

Get The Wet Brush from a salon or Sally's. I love it so much I have 2. Awesome for detangling and styling.

If you don't like teasing, you can roll each crown section up in a large velcro roller immediately after you dry it. Lightly spray the spray the roots if you like, though not completely necessary. Let the rollers stay in until your hair is completely cool (do your makeup, get dressed, whatever). When you take the rollers out, you'll have more lift at the roots. Heat shapes the hair, but the position it's in as it cools is what locks in the shape.

I had a side bang like you i found if you tease alittle the bit that is falling in your face , tease it at the root and spray with hairspray and it stays :) hope you try it

You should look into the big Instyler for days when you don't feel like doing so much work with the blow dryer. When my hair was long, I almost never blew it out and sometimes even slept on it wet... but girl that thing will give you big Texas volume and nicely shaped bends at the ends. I lurved it! I would wash it at night, let it air dry and get my big Texas hair in 10 min the next morning with that thing. ah-maze-ing!

Thank u for the hair tutorial. Ur hair looks soooo amazing. I have that same problem with my stupid bangs. There's a small piece where no matter how much i straighten it with blow drying, it doesn't go straight! grrrrrr so aggravating really. Glad to see someone else in pain like me! LOL
