Welcome back to the channel ladies and gentleman! Since you guys reached over 1K likes on the delivery of my dad's new manual BMW M6 Gran Coupe, in today's video we are straight piping my dad's manual BMW M6 Gran Coupe!! Dixon Motorsports have installed a beautiful and full Meistershaft Race Exhaust with the valved mufflers creating a full straight piped system (aside from the downpipes). This will give the car roughly 15-20HP, and more importantly a much better and louder sounding exhaust note. The proper straight piping content is back! Enjoy the new loud exhaust from GT HAUS.

Technically straight piped means zero mufflers. That exhaust setup has 2.

The real definition is STRAIGHT PIPES from the exhaust manifold to the exhaust tip. The secondary definition is at least a full cat delete. Anything else is a muffler delete,resonator delete,partial cat delete,etc

@@sasazapadnik9335 there isn’t a secondary definition. It’s either straight pipe or not. Any piping from the exhaust manifold to tips is just plain piping. Then you have cats, resonators, and mufflers. It’s either straight pipe from the “cat back” which isn’t fully straight piped or full straight pipe which is catless from the exhaust manifold to tips.

@@stevec9315 That's exactly what I said, straight tubing from the manifold to the tip is straight-piped - the proper definition. However, here in the USA (at least in late 90s/early 2000s) people would refer to a cat delete as "straight piped", as erroneous as it may be, thats what it was called.

@Typowy Seba z BMW must have multiple meanings in different countries. In US, people will often use “straight pipe” and “muffler delete” interchangeably. However, most car enthusiasts will call it “straight pipe” if it’s literally a pipe from Headers to Exhaust tips with absolutely No cats, resonators or mufflers of any kind, even race/offroad

Since it's obvious you guys don't know about a valved Muffler, you should do some research. This exhaust is straight piped when he hits the remote control. It's normally a muffler with a straight pipe. Who wants to drive constantly with the loud as hell car all the time? It will scare the shit out of those Mustang boys when you switch your straight pipe on... Hope that helps

When the valves are open it is equivalent to a muffler delete so straight piped just stock downpipes

Still has cats. They are attached to the headers so not straight piped but an improvement for sure. For that car I’d go highflier cars instead of no cats bc it’s luxury and will be way too aggressive.
