It was Lenin not Stalin :) Lenin statues are still around in Russia, Belarus, Transnistria and many more former Soviets. Stalin statues are mostly gone though. They were teared down back in Soviet times

Bro a lot of poor areas in the us are exactly like this. Lots of hoods that have been left to crumble and those kids indeed have no self worth. They turn to crime.
