Lol no man, Vecna’s an hypocrite, the kind that abuses power confered upon him by destiny to do harm to others even before his transformation, the kind who first « trained » on animals to practice his skills, the kind who claims that humanity is a virus for the earth yet wishes to remake the earth in his own image. A twisted hypocrite who used the traumatisms of his own parents as excuses to tear their lives apart. If you are nihilistic/misanthropic fine, everyone has the right to be after all freedom of thinking ensure that we are free at least in mind But if you act on these thoughts to do harm to others? His stare as 001, the child Henry's stare - the gaze is so inhuman, unblinking, and full of cruelty. It shows him as other. Yet, as Vecna his stare illustrates his remaining humanity, what he was on the outside but never on the inside when he was Henry Creel or simply 001. It's what makes Vecna different from the Mindflayer and Demogorgon, his humanness. As Vecna, I found his eyes sad, as 001 I found them disturbed. A wonderful performance all around, and while the child actor has no lines he really sells the scene along with Campbell.

His issue with his dad and family was that he was the scapegoat. Nobody is perfect, everyone makes mistakes. That’s only human. However, he was looked at as the problem, so nobody else had to take accountability for their own problems and admit their own mistakes. He was the only one seen as bad, while everyone else was free to see themselves as good, in comparison to him, without ever having to acknowledge their own issues. I was the scapegoat in my family and it is a highly traumatic role to play. I would never do the things Vecna did. I turned those negative feelings inward, which became depression, anxiety, suicidal, self-harming behaviors. Whereas he turned it outwards into taking it out on others around him instead of himself.

I don't mean to be rude or insensitive but you seem to be projecting yourself onto Henery/001. His family never abused him and he was not a scape goat. He clearly suffered from a sociopathic mental illness. His family tried to treat him like he was normal but when he began to brutally kill animals his mother realized they could not pretend their son was okay. She tried to reach out for help and that angered Henry leading to the family's death.
@marionprepon7145
@marionprepon7145 Жыл бұрын
@@theratking9057 people with mental illnesses are often chosen to be the family scapegoat, or “identified patient” of the family. They use that person to make themselves feel and look more mentally stable. Like I said, they saw themselves as good compared to them. But no one is perfect. Yes, his disorder, may have made him worse than most, but he said in his own monologue that they made mistakes, but while theirs were dismissed, only his were focused on. They acted like they were perfect, when no one is. They could admit when they were wrong and made mistakes, so he’d feel less alienated from humans. But instead, they chose to just focus on his as a way to make themselves feel better so they didn’t have to focus on their own problems.

I still have issues with what society expects from me but I've come to my own way of being a productive little pawn in the vast machine that is human society. Well, I always say it, we do not choose to be born in a society but we choose to live in it, if you do not like living in civilization you can leave it, nobody will stop you from doing so, because you are free to choose what you want, but deep inside you know that what you want is to live this way, of course your life is not perfect and you would like the problems to disappear, but nobody told you that this would be easy, in this society you have to carve your own path if you want to prosper, because the alternative is the wild, the unknown, humans are animals of habit so we don't like to leave our comfort zone, and that's why despite all the bullshit you find in society you continue to live in it, because it's the best thing we have, it is our way out to live outside the laws of the jungle, because no matter how deficient society is, it is infinitely better than being subjected to the rules of nature, eating or being eaten.
