That's my custom RC build, based on the Stranger Things show.
So here is the 1/10 scale Chief Hopper truck.
Base: HG P401 (with custom links for longer wheelbase, custom body posts)
Body: Vaterra Blazer K5
Paint: 7 different layers
About 1 month of work, many 3D printed parts designed by my own.

Well, I've seen another one in picture only, and another on youtube painted with the same color but no police pattern so as far as I know I have the only one on KZfaq this close to the show 😊

wow that truck ill amazed it 3D printer ill thought you bought you show how make that does it had interior awesome ill wish they make them rc ill will get one ill like old chevy truck can build fall guy pickup truck

Hi, i like how you went about making this happen. You're lucky to have access to a 3D printer. I liked the door templates (maybe you could sell me them) lol and the rear tail light buckets. Basically, I really like the whole thing, I'm well jell now that you beat me to it. Another nice video. 😀 👍 👍

Great build! What kind of paint and colors did you use for the body?

It's just regular primer and paint on the outside of the bodyshell. It's not how a lexan body is supposed to be painted. But it's okay as long as I drive carefully.

I wanted to get that retro style :) Luckily i found this synthwave music. The last/main upgrade on my HG is the servo mounted on axle.

Okay thank you is 3d printing hard? Did you ever have to shim your axles?

Ralf 2269 I am right there with you brother 3d printing is not that hard, but, you need to take your time to learn how to use the softwares and how to leveling the print table right. It's a lot of learning and testing when you start. I keep the stock axle angle, i've build longer links that's all. No issue yet and it runs smouthly.

Excellent build!! Just ordered a new Ascender kit for my wife and going to be doing Chief Hopper's tribute as well, but with full interior. Do you have the 3d printed parts on shapeways for anyone able to print or would you share them? Thanks in advance!!
